Chapter 188: A Gift from the Heavens

Mei Terumi stared at the map before her, her face etched with shock.

Yuto's expression was calm, his gaze fixed on the map. After swallowing the dango in his mouth, he spoke slowly:

"It's not just about making a move. What Madara should be doing is conquering! The Village of the Rain is simply too small in the end."

As he finished speaking, a thoughtful glint appeared in Yuto's eyes.

The current situation in the entire shinobi world was already completely different from the original story.

Especially since Madara's original plan had been completely scrapped. After all, the plan hadn't even begun before he had been resurrected.

This was not the original world anymore, where Madara alone could dominate the shinobi world.

Neither Yuto nor Hashirama were just for show.

Under these circumstances, if Madara were to act according to his original plan as before, "failure" would be the only result.

In a sense, Yuto and Madara were in similar situations.

Both of them needed the power of the tailed beasts, but at the same time, neither wanted to reveal their intentions to others.

Yuto's current greatest advantage was that he was already a big step ahead of Madara.

But the disadvantage was just as obvious: the advantage of the plot had already been weakened to the extreme.

All Yuto could do now was speculate based on that guy's personality.

As for what Madara would do next, perhaps no one but himself would know.

Now, whether it was Hashirama, Madara, or Yuto himself, if they wanted to completely change the situation, they could only rely on their own abilities!

Mei Terumi propped her chin in her hand, her eyes constantly scanning the map. Although she trusted Yuto's judgment, she still couldn't imagine how Madara could lead a shinobi village that wasn't his own.

Whether it was Iwagakure or Sunagakure, they were both among the five most powerful villages in the shinobi world.

Even Sunagakure, the weakest of them, might be crushed, or even annihilated, by the legendary power of Madara.

Although annihilation didn't mean killing everyone in the village, it was enough to declare a village annihilated by simply killing all of its high-ranking officials.

But ruling was completely different.

To completely rule a shinobi village couldn't be accomplished with strength alone, at least, Mei Terumi couldn't do it.

Wait! There was another way!

Mei Terumi's expression darkened as she thought of a possibility, one she didn't want to recall. How the Fourth Mizukage, Yagura, had been controlled was, in a way, another method of ruling a shinobi village.

Besides, people of the Uchiha clan were even more skilled in genjutsu and control than ordinary shinobi.

"Yuto-dono, could it be that Madara is secretly controlling the Kage of a village, thereby indirectly controlling the entire village?"

A trace of gloom flashed in Mei Terumi's eyes as she spoke, her voice tinged with displeasure.

Yuto turned his head, giving her a surprised look. When he saw her expression, a look of realization dawned on his face.

"Perhaps," Yuto said calmly, his voice soft.

Even as he said that, Yuto knew that Uchiha Obito might do such a thing, but it was absolutely not something Madara, with his personality, would do.

To be precise, with Madara's current strength, he would disdain to lurk in the shadows.

"Yuto-dono, since that's the case, should we warn the people of Iwagakure and Sunagakure?" Mei Terumi turned to look at Yuto and asked.

"It's still too early. Wait until Hashirama spreads the news of our resurrection," Yuto said calmly, shaking his head.

"Moreover, before this murky water has cleared, there is something more important that needs to be done."

Although they were opponents, Yuto believed he had a pretty good understanding of Hashirama's personality.

What Hashirama should be doing now was organizing the information about him and Madara and sending it to the various shinobi villages so they could prepare.

This matter didn't need to be stopped, nor could it be stopped.

After all, the battle that took place between him, Madara, and Hashirama in Konoha could be analyzed for quite a bit of intelligence by the major villages, as long as they weren't blind.

It was just that Hashirama had laid everything out in the open.

Madara was probably waiting for this too...

Yuto's gaze fell on the last stick in his hand. He flicked it with his finger.

With a whooshing sound, the stick landed on a spot on the map once again.

Mei Terumi's gaze returned to it. Seeing where the stick had landed, she asked in confusion:

"Takigakure?"

"That's right. My next target is the Village of the Waterfall!"

Yuto raised an eyebrow, a faint smile appearing on his face.

Just then, a light knock came from outside the Mizukage's office door.

Ao gently pushed open the large door. When he saw Yuto in the office, his face immediately showed a respectful expression:

"Yuto-dono."

Yuto gave a slight nod but didn't speak.

"What is it, Ao?" Mei Terumi looked at him curiously and asked.

"I just received a strange mission, so I came to report it to the Mizukage-dono," Ao said seriously, his expression grave.

"Oh, a strange mission?" Mei Terumi was stunned for a moment, then her face showed a look of keen interest.

"Yes, Mizukage-dono. It's a mission regarding the Village of the Waterfall," Ao nodded and said seriously.

A mission from the Village of the Waterfall?

As Ao spoke, Mei Terumi visibly froze, then her face turned strange as she glanced in Yuto's direction.

At that moment, Yuto, who was sitting on the sofa, had an even more bewildered expression on his face.

Seeming to notice Mei Terumi's gaze, Yuto helplessly spread his hands, indicating he knew nothing about it.

This was truly a gift from the heavens.

Yuto also became interested at this moment, his eyes fixed on Ao, waiting for him to continue.

Ao didn't notice the strange expressions on Mei Terumi and Yuto's faces and continued:

"The other person's name is Shiki. His identity seems to be the leader of the Waterfall ninja village. The mission is to escort him safely to Takigakure."

The leader of a shinobi village actually needed people from another village to escort him to his own.

Hearing such a mission, Mei Terumi was left speechless for a moment, at a loss for words.

Although the Village of the Waterfall was a small village, it was considered one of the more prominent ones among them. For a village leader to come to another village to issue a mission was truly rare.
