After hours, and hours of waiting and waiting for the perfect opportunity to avoid suspicions and head back home, I finally got it, it was a minor case of one of the water pipes breaking down but boy did it work. Note to self: Gosh it's not easy being a rich kid.
Like is this kid a magnet of attention or what.
All day i had to dodge teachers, his supposed friends and girls all in one day, does he freaking know how hard it is already for me dealing with all the home drama and what not at his place, I thought to myself as i walk literally fuming with anger as i walked to my place.
But that wasn't my priority at the moment as i had bigger issues to attend to.
Arriving at my house I ring the doorbell to the house and wait, ready for a multitude of questions or the worried face of my mom to await me as the door opened.
Listening to the clicks and clacks of the door as it opened my body got more and more nervous by the minute, my hands clenching ever so tightly as I braced himself, my brain cells racing so quickly for word counts on how to explain and finally the last clicking of the door lock was heard, I close my eyes bracing myself for the worst as the first words that comes out his mouth are "I can explain".
Hearing nothing, no scolding, no questions and not even a "where have you been?" I open my eyes to find not mom but a mirror image of myself staring me in the face.
WHAT IS HAPPENING?
("Levi's" POV)
I come back from the supposed school that the kid I was impersonating was attending, and boy it was amazing.
Note to self: living as a commoner is the best.
people barely approached me, if anything it seems like they avoided me and honestly I'm not sure if that's a reaction that was good or not. But to me it was the best reaction i could hope to get.
And best of all life with Riel has been great, She gives me all the attention i could want and sure it attracts some nagging but it part of the package.
I thought to myself as I walked into the house, closing the door behind me, sure I still had my suspicions of everything like how the clothes in the room fitted me perfectly, how the food aligned perfectly with my taste and the best part of it all, how awesome it was of riels' computer skills, although most of her skills went to illegal stuff like hacking but who am I to judge when the fruits of the labor is beneficial to me.
"Levi lunch is ready"
Hearing that I come down the stairs in a bit of a hurry, until I hear the doorbell ring.
Opening the door I'm faced with a face that looks exactly like mine,
"Oh, he's back i think to myself as i look at him" if his face could have a written sentence on it i guess it would have been "Who is this? Why is he here? and so on" but i guess I'm no mind reader to know that, and I can't really explain the situation of how i even got here.
They both stand there looking at each other with questions, that they probably couldn't answer wholeheartedly.
Before either of them could have the chance to react, footsteps could be heard coming towards the hallway.
"Levi, who was it?" hearing no response she moved closer "Levi?" reaching the door she meets no one there but an empty door.
(sigh)
"He must have gone out to play" she says heading back in.
BONUS STORY:
Being dragged out of the house door, a multitude of questions races through Levi's' head.
"What's going on? Is this the situation where you meet your double gangers, if it is i heard your not meant to look your double ganger in the eyes, does this mean I'm going to die" thinking this and other bunch of things, Levi stops and then (sobs)
(The sound of Crying fills the air)
Surprised by the sudden outburst of tears ("Levi 2")
"wait why, why are you crying" hearing no response from the crying Levi, he tenses up confused as to what to do, he tries consoling him. "St.. stop crying come on, let's look for where to sit down" saying that he turns to look around for a chair or maybe even a bench but none could be found, he remembers he has a phone watch with a map.
Bringing up his wrist to find out their location, he sees nothing and remembers his watch was broken at the wedding ceremony when flare grabbed onto his wrist.
Lost in the middle of nowhere, with no way back, no passers by and a crying Levi, (Levi 2) feeling overwhelmed.
(sobs) "St.. stop crying"
The sound of crying filled the air as two children completely lost with noway to go back cry.
A few long Minutes later
Both have stop their wailing and arrived by the park, their eyes and nose as red as tomatoes ripe and filled with juice ready to pop.
"I'm really sorry, I was in your place pretending to be you, it's just that I don't really know how to get back on my own. And it was so much fun staying with your mom that I kept on postponing contacting my dad"
"Don't worry about it, besides it's not like your the only one at fault, I also pretended to be you"
Levi says trying to cheer the other up.
"If you and I both look like each other, that means you're Leth right?"
Leth nods in agreement
"I'm Levi Sapphire, although you probably already know that" he says beaming his widest smile.
"I'm Lethaniel Gemstone, but my dad just calls me Leth" he says still sobbing.
Levi hops down from the bench and turn over to Leths' face
"Kay, then I can call you that too, right?" Levi says asking almost too enthusiastic
"Um... I don't see why not?"
Levi giggles in response.
"Now that I'm really looking at you, we really look alike, don't we? Are we related or something? Twins?" Levi asks using his two hands to touch Leths' face.
"Cold, your hands are cold. And I don't know" Leth replies squinting his eyes.
"Oh sorry, well even if we aren't we could still be" Levi says " Hey, you said you enjoy staying with my mom right? Why don't we swap"
"?"
"You be me and I be you, then by weekend we meet here and swap again to our original positions"
"Won't that be dangerous?"
"It won't be if we meet right after school in the same spot"
"Okay, let's do it".
"Yay, it's just like having our own little secret"
