Chapter 86 - Chapter 86: Zombie Hawkeye: You are being a bit too double-standard! (Fifth update, please subscribe!)

The sounds of battle, one after another, continuously attracted zombies from afar.

Bucky and Sharon's guns had long run out of bullets. Except for Head Lang, everyone now had palm repulsors on both hands.

Another wave of zombies fell, and a new wave hadn't entered the attack range yet.

Bucky breathed a sigh of relief, preparing to lower his arms and rest like the others, but the corner of his eye suddenly caught sight of a black dot rapidly enlarging.

It was an arrow!

Without thinking, Bucky directly pushed the person next to him away and grabbed the rapidly incoming arrow with his mechanical arm!

A dripping sound rang out from the arrowhead. Bucky inwardly cried out 'not good' and was just about to throw the explosive arrow away.

"Bang!"

The arrowhead exploded.

Bucky instinctively turned his body to shield his face, but he didn't feel any impact.

Raising his head in confusion, he suddenly discovered that a red energy shield had appeared in front of him.

It was this red energy that blocked the impact of the explosion.

It's just—

Why did this red energy look a little familiar, how was it so similar to Wanda's?

"It's Hawkeye."

"And Captain Steve Rogers."

The reacting crowd quickly spotted the limping but still drawing and shooting Hawkeye and the shield-wielding Captain America among the zombie horde.

Looking at the emaciated, terrifying Steve Rogers, Sharon Carter wrung her hands in lament.

The light that people worshipped had already merged into the darkness, no longer able to guide the desperate or bring Hope.

"Bang!"

Sharon Carter raised her hand to shoot down an arrow shot by Hawkeye, then her arm vibrated, and the palm repulsors fired consecutively without hesitation.

"Are, are we really going to do this? That's Captain America! I mean, we can try to control him first, if we succeed, he can also return to normal."

Spider-Man gesticulated wildly, looking nervously at the firing Sharon Carter.

"Don't ask me," Sharon Carter replied curtly.

It wasn't that she wanted to kill the Captain, it was that if they didn't kill the Captain, they wouldn't be able to deal with Wakanda's control with peace of mind.

Controlling the Captain is of course the best option, but how to control him?

Without Samuel making a move, none of them could guarantee that the Captain wouldn't cause trouble at a critical moment.

"Captain ah—"

Samuel looked at the stumbling, occasionally raising his shield to block Steve Rogers, sighed meaningfully, and slowly raised his hand.

Among the zombie horde, the shield in the hands of the zombie Captain America suddenly vibrated violently. He looked down at the shield in confusion.

The shield suddenly whooshed him into the air, then flew over the car barrier and landed straight in front of Samuel.

???

The zombie Captain America was a bit dazed for a few seconds, and then, reacting, he directly threw the shield towards Samuel.

Straight and heavy.

Samuel lightly pointed his finger at the flying shield, and the shield instantly stopped in front of him, then obediently fell into his hand.

"I have a shield just like this one."

With a sigh, Samuel threw the shield to Bucky.

"It's mine, lending it to You first."

Bucky took the shield and naturally buckled it onto his back.

(How did it buckle on? Haha, if You ask, it's metaphysics, if You ask, it's inheritance.)

Bucky's movement was much cooler than Falcon's.

Samuel opened the Mirror Dimension with one hand and controlled the zombie Captain America to fly into it with the other.

Closing the Mirror Dimension, Samuel clapped his hands and said with a smile, "We'll rest after we deal with Hawkeye. Come on, Wakanda is waiting for you."

"Bang!"

Hawkeye, who was among the zombies, fell to the ground in response.

Zombie Hawkeye: You guys are being a bit too biased! You lock Captain up, but you kill me?

Happy sheepishly raised his hand and explained to everyone awkwardly, "I, I didn't mean to."

Bruce Banner, who had been a nobody for half the day, had originally wanted to follow suit and save the zombie Hawkeye. Now, well, he didn't need to say anything.

Actually, even if he had spoken, it would have been useless. They kept Captain because they could extract the Super Soldier Serum. What did Hawkeye have? Archery?

Any man can do that!

Moreover, Bruce Banner's presence was indeed a bit low at this time, possibly related to Vision's betrayal and the five-Infinity Stones zombie Thanos.

Samuel had almost forgotten that he was still here.

Perhaps this was also a subtle hint. Samuel had just helped Sharon get a good night's sleep, and the guy represented by green 'disappeared' right before his eyes.

(There are many characters in the group scenes, and I forgot about him as I was writing. I carefully counted them when assigning tasks, but I still couldn't remember.)

Samuel smiled and closed the portal, letting them rest for a while and eat something.

He also replaced a batch of palm cannons for them.

These things didn't need bullets, but they needed energy.

Two hours later, everyone was ready to go after resting. Samuel opened a portal directly to Wakanda.

In front of the portal was an open plain, with small groups of zombies staggering around.

There were Wakandans and aliens.

Bucky and Sharon rushed out, turning their guns to the left and right, aiming behind the portal.

...

Behind was also an open plain, and the distribution of zombies was clear at a glance.

Wasp and Cloak Head Lang followed closely, then Spider-Man and Happy, who were on alert.

Bruce Banner stayed on Bleecker Street to guard.

Samuel walked out, thought for a moment, and instructed Wasp and Cloak Head Lang, "You two go and lure the zombies from the front and back."

"Okay."

Wasp and Cloak Head Lang took the portal as the boundary and flew to the front and back.

"Bucky is in charge of the front, and Sharon is in charge of the back. Happy, you assist Bucky. Peter, pay attention to your Spider-Sense. If you feel danger, bring them back to the portal immediately."

After assigning the tasks and letting them perform their duties, Samuel became invisible and floated into the air, overseeing the entire scene.

"The combat detection range is still too short, only 600 meters. Once they leave the range, the rewards are wasted."

Samuel glanced at the system. The combat detection range and the points required for upgrading were the same.

It was currently 600 meters, so upgrading required 600 points.

After upgrading, it would be 700 meters, and upgrading again would require 700 points, and so on.

A range of hundreds or thousands of meters was just a drop in the ocean compared to the entire area of Wakanda. He could only clear the small monsters first, level up, and then go find the final big BOSS.

Anyway, Bucky and the others were eager to face Thanos and seize the Infinity Stones, but he wasn't in a hurry. He would take his time step by step and not miss out on any benefits.
