Wasp and Cloak Head Lang lured waves of zombies. Bucky and the others fought on the ground, while Samuel used rays from the air to handle tougher foes. This repeated, allowing Samuel to upgrade his combat detection range to 700 meters.
Then, they were spotted. A dense zombie tide surged forward, led by Corvus Glaive and Proxima Midnight, Thanos's generals.
Bucky's group couldn't stop them, so Samuel descended before the horde. His eyes glowed red, unleashing rays.
"Zzzzzz!"
The rays sliced through the left flank, piercing a vertical row of zombies, the last one's forehead burned through as it fell.
Samuel swept the rays horizontally, mowing down zombies like crops—Wakandans, Chitauri, aliens, all fell. Corvus Glaive's sword snapped against the rays; his head followed. Proxima Midnight, enraged, tried to block with her spear. It broke, and she fell beside Corvus, their heads staring blankly.
"Bang!"
A massive stone hurtled toward Samuel. He ignored it, eyeing the purple figure in the distance: five-Infinity Stone zombie Thanos.
"Boom!"
Chaos Magic obliterated the stone. Samuel teleported before Thanos, whose black bloodstains and sunken cheeks marked him as a zombie, yet his gaze held weight. His armor was intact, but his scent was foul. Zombie King indeed.
"That's Thanos?!" came cries from the portal.
The group had planned to retreat to Bleecker Street but stayed, stunned by Samuel's swift victory. Their relief turned to dread seeing Thanos with the Infinity Gauntlet.
"If we defeat Thanos, we can restore everything," Bucky said, charging with Sharon, Spider-Man, Wasp, Head Lang, Happy, and Bruce Banner.
Samuel struck first, firing a Hot Ray at Thanos's eye. Thanos staggered, screaming.
"Ding! Combat detected, drop reward: Super Defense (Thanos)"
Thanos swung the Gauntlet, a purple Power Stone energy ball hitting Samuel, who braced, arms crossed, taking it head-on.
"Is he crazy?" Sharon gasped.
"Bang!"
The explosion's shockwave turned grass and corpses to ash, knocking the others down.
"Ding! Combat detected, drop reward: Super Soldier Serum (Winter Soldier Bucky)"
"Ding! Combat detected, drop reward: Pym Particles"
"Ding! Combat detected, drop reward: Palm Cannon"
"Ding! Combat detected, drop reward: Super Strength (Thanos)"
Samuel, unscathed, grinned. "Stay back. Come over after I've had my fun."
He tore off his tattered clothes, faced Thanos, and smirked. "My turn!"
Samuel teleported, landing a punch on Thanos's face, amplified by his own strength and Thanos's. The earth shook with the blow's force.
