Sealing Technique or Summoning Technique?
This ninjutsu was perfectly suited for Minato.
But was it truly suitable for Naruto?
The Naruto of today was completely different from the Naruto of the original story.

Jiraiya's plan for Naruto was different.
Naruto would crush powerful enemies through direct confrontation—using his immense chakra, taijutsu, and ninjutsu to overwhelm them.
Against opponents with strange or dangerous abilities, Naruto would rely on Summoning Techniques and Sealing Techniques.
With this approach, Naruto would be prepared for nearly any situation.
After thinking it through thoroughly, Jiraiya finally let out a long breath.

Even Jiraiya himself was not truly proficient in Sealing Techniques.

The next morning, Jiraiya found Naruto training early, as usual.

"Kakashi-sensei prepared a training plan for me."
"Training to deal with specific enemies."
"I've already done Genjutsu resistance training."
"Today was supposed to be training against the Hyūga Clan's Gentle Fist—Eight Trigrams Palm techniques."
Jiraiya nodded and took the scroll from Naruto.
"Let's see what Kakashi wrote."
After scanning it briefly, Jiraiya nodded in approval.
"He really is thorough."
He read aloud:

Jiraiya smiled.

Naruto panicked. "Hey! Don't throw it away!"
Jiraiya laughed.
"The ninjutsu I'm teaching you today is a hundred times more important—and a hundred times stronger."
Naruto froze, then his eyes lit up.
"What kind of ninjutsu?!"
Jiraiya crossed his arms.
"After thinking about it, there are two techniques that suit you perfectly."
"First—the Summoning Technique."
"As the name suggests, you sign a contract with powerful creatures. Through a summoning formula, you can call them to assist you in battle whenever needed."
Naruto's eyes sparkled.
"That sounds insanely strong!"
"Of course it is," Jiraiya said proudly.
"The second is the Sealing Technique."
"Using various sealing formulas, you can restrict an enemy's movement, chakra, physical body, or even their soul. If mastered, it has limitless applications."
Naruto's excitement deflated instantly.

"You were born with it," Jiraiya replied.
Naruto fell silent.
"So… this is my destiny?"
"Then why did the Fourth Hokage seal the Nine-Tails inside me?"
"Because of that monster, the village treated me coldly… I lived alone…"
Jiraiya sighed.
"That's a long story."
"Simply put, the Nine-Tails is both a natural disaster and a strategic weapon of Konoha."
"It can't be destroyed. It can't be discarded."
"It can only be controlled through sealing."

"Its people mastered Sealing Techniques and were feared throughout the Ninja World."
"Eventually, multiple nations united and destroyed it."
"The Uzumaki Clan was nearly wiped out."
Naruto's heart skipped a beat.
"The Uzumaki Clan…"
"Does that mean…?"
"I'm part of it?"
Jiraiya shook his head gently.
"Your mother was a pureblood Uzumaki."
"You're a half-blood, which is why you don't have red hair."
"But the Uzumaki blood still flows within you."
"Your chakra, vitality, and recovery ability—these are all Uzumaki traits."
Naruto's chest tightened.
For the first time, he understood where he came from.
