However, the Green Goblin's glider had already been pulled out of him.
Thanks to the self-repairing capabilities of the Green Goblin armor, the puncture wound in Green Goblin Harry's abdomen was healing.
Seeing Peter approach, hatred flashed in Green Goblin Harry's eyes.
Peter sighed.
In the end, this whole thing was due to a misunderstanding.
Amazing Spider-Man thought that not giving Harry his blood was helping him, preventing him from becoming a monster.
But Harry believed that Amazing Spider-Man refusing to give him blood was a betrayal of their brotherhood, and love turned to hate.
But in reality, there was a solution.
Amazing Spider-Man had already found the experimental data left behind by his father, Richard Parker. All they needed to do was give this data to Harry, and involve Dr. Connors.
At that point, perhaps not only could Harry's genetic illness and current problems be solved, but Dr. Connors and the Lizardmen could also be returned to normal – Dr. Connors might even be able to regrow his hand.
Even Electro, Peter had thought of two ways to save him.
The first was to maintain his original power level.
Actually, only three things were needed.
First, a device to stabilize the electrical charge within him, preventing him from experiencing fluctuations due to external magnetic fields, which caused unnecessary anxiety.
Second, a device to continuously provide electrical charge – Peter was thinking of Stark's Arc Reactor. With this, he wouldn't have to keep leeching off the public power supply.
The third was the concern of others – something Max, with his personality flaws, needed most.
The second option was to directly restore him to a normal human.
It wasn't difficult; it just required creating a device that could completely absorb the electrical charge within him.
This was different from what Peter had done earlier.
Peter had only released all the electricity he had, but if Max woke up, he could reabsorb it.
However, absorbing the electrical charge stored in his body would truly strip him of his abilities.
Of course, whether to save him or not was up to the Amazing Spider-Man.
Peter was just an outsider offering his objective advice.
Fortunately, the Amazing Spider-Man didn't disappoint him.
"Harry, I found the research materials my father left behind. We can decipher their secrets together. For you, for Dillon, for Dr. Connors, and also... to make up for my mistakes." The Amazing Spider-Man was primarily in control of the body now.
Harry stared blankly at the Amazing Spider-Man, then turned his head away and said coldly, "You think I'll still trust you after all this?"
"Whether you believe it or not is up to you, but I'll still do it," the Amazing Spider-Man said earnestly.
"Heh!" Harry sneered and said no more.
The Amazing Spider-Man handed control of the body to Peter.
When Peter took over, there was a strange suppressive force that the Spider-Man persona couldn't resist. Their consciousness would only occasionally surface if Peter allowed it or under certain unexpected circumstances.
But in most cases, Peter would suppress them.
Of course, even the Amazing Spider-Man didn't know how to face Harry right now.
After Peter's roundabout way of pointing things out, Harry realized his mistake and decided to try to save them, to make up for his faults.
To give them, and also himself, a second chance.
At this moment, intense sounds of battle suddenly erupted from somewhere in the power plant not far away.
Peter looked at Harry on the ground, didn't move him, and turned to leap up high, racing towards the direction of the fighting sounds.
On the spot, the hand that Harry had placed on the ground flipped over, revealing the blade on his wrist armor.
If it weren't for those words just now, he had actually been prepared to fight the Amazing Spider-Man to the death.
But now...
Harry closed his eyes.
Peter arrived above the location where the battle was taking place, and when he saw the two people fighting below, he showed a perplexed expression.
He recognized one of them; they were an "old acquaintance."
Four long mechanical tentacles, and armor covering half his body – it was Doctor Octopus.
This guy was practically Spider-Man's nemesis. Except for Peter's own world and the world of the Shadow Spider-Man, where he hadn't encountered Doctor Octopus yet, Spider-Man from other worlds had basically all had some kind of run-in with him.
As for the other person fighting Doctor Octopus, it was a guy wearing a bright yellow skin-tight combat suit, with explosive muscles all over, and "wearing" a pair of steel claws on his hands.
Hmm, he also faintly exuded a pungent body odor.
This smell reminded Peter of the wolverine he saw when Aunt May took him to the zoo. Doesn't this guy shower?
Swish! Swish!
The burly man in the bright yellow suit used his steel claws to slash at Doctor Octopus's mechanical tentacles, and the mechanical tentacles were actually cut off directly. It was like cutting through cheese with a hot knife, with no sense of delay.
Were Doctor Octopus's mechanical tentacles too fragile? Peter thought about the material, and rejected the idea.
Doctor Octopus's armor was very similar in material and workmanship to the armor of Harry, Rhino, and Scorpion, likely all from Osborn Industries.
Peter had experienced these armors firsthand during the recent fight.
He had relied on "dismantling" them to take them apart, rather than tearing them.
The problem, then, lay with the steel claws in front of him.
Were they made of some kind of sharp alloy?
As Peter pondered this, the battle below was nearing its end.
The burly man in the bright yellow suit dodged the attack of Doctor Octopus's remaining two mechanical tentacles and appeared beside him.
Then, he thrust his steel claws forward, piercing directly into Doctor Octopus's body.
As the claws were pulled out, blood gushed forth.
Doctor Octopus slowly fell to the ground.
The burly man in the bright yellow battle suit coldly flicked the blood off the steel claws on his hand, then turned to look at Peter.
After seeing Peter, he paused, then tilted his head, as if listening to something.
Then, the steel claws on his hand suddenly retracted with a "whoosh."
Peter: ?
He then realized that those weren't weapons worn on the hands, but rather installed inside the body?
Peter looked down at his own hands, finding it hard to imagine how to install three steel claws, each about the length of a dagger, into his hands.
This felt even stranger than having the glands to shoot spider webs on his hands!
"Hello, are you..." Peter leaped and jumped down from the building.
The other party had put away his weapons, clearly not intending to fight him.
And the Spider-Sense didn't detect any malice.
The burly man in the bright yellow battle suit sized him up, then extended a hand. "You're Peter Parker, right? I'm Logan, but you can call me... Wolverine."
