The two men flew so fast that their figures blurred from an outsider's perspective.
Retreating, the Emperor encircled the golden tree, trying to increase the distance between them.
However, Michael remained undeterred. Hot on his enemy's trail, the two left afterimages across their path.
"You dare stand against me?!" The Emperor bellowed in anger.
Forming thin threads of blood, he willed them to wrap around Michael's figure in a desperate attempt to slow him down.
Smiling, Michael soared with greater speed, severing them in the process. Grabbing the Emperor's foot, he slammed him into the tree beside them.
"Ugh!" With a grunt, the Emperor's eyes shone crimson.
Michael's blood worked against him once more, yet regardless of how many times it killed him, the spiritual energy around him surged, mending any fatal wound he had sustained.
"HAHAHAHA!"
Michael's menacing laughter echoed. Not letting go, he repeatedly slammed the Emperor like a ragdoll.
