"What's going on?" I asked, looking towards Sera. She had a creepy smile on her face, all the while her eyes began to glow orange.
"Whatever do you mean? I'm simply making sure you don't get stuck in Hell, after all," she said before quickly picking me up.
"Sera, let go, I need to go back home," I said, trying to reason with her.
"But you are home, my lord—here in Heaven, with all of us." She flew towards a nearby window and revealed thousands of angels, all staring and bowing towards us.
They all had an orange glow shining from their eyes, and all had creepy smiles on their faces.
"Do you see now, my lord? Everyone is so happy to see you. We won't lose you again," she said before slamming the window closed and teleporting away.
I quickly checked my surroundings and found I was now inside a rather large room. It had multiple golden engravings carved into its walls, and in the middle, a large circle could be seen.
Once the lights finally turned on, I immediately saw the stands surrounding us, and there were angels sitting on them.
"Angels of Heaven, behold! Our lord has returned to us!" As she announced this to everyone, she picked me up and raised me high for all to see.
Unknown to me, a brilliant light shined upon everyone present. Then, as quickly as it shined, the eyes of everyone present began to slowly glow orange, and everyone began to cheer.
"Our lord has returned to us!"
"God has returned!"
"Our merciful lord has returned!"
They all cheered and yelled in excitement at the notion that I was their god.
Fun, isn't it?
Then, all of a sudden, I heard the voice of the Radiance—and she seemed to sound amused.
Look at that, an entire race at the palm of your grubby little hands. To be honest, I didn't expect it to work so quickly.
What have you done?
Oh, nothing. I just enhanced what's already there. You did most of the work—well, your new soul did.
What the hell are you talking about?
…
Really? After all this time, you still can't piece it all together? Fine, then let me dumb it down for you. You see, these poor lambs have been without a shepherd for far too long, and what do you think would happen when something similar appears on their doorstep?
No.
Yes.
No.
Yes. So if I were you, I'd better start running—or don't. I don't really care.
I quickly got off Sera's hands and landed on the ground.
"Is there something wrong, my lord?" she said, creeping closer to me.
"Nothing, just... what's that?" I pointed towards something behind her, and this seemed to distract her for a few seconds.
"I don't see anything." She turned back towards me and saw that I was running towards a window.
I quickly jumped through it, and as I did, a bunch of angels followed me through the window.
"Don't leave us again!"
"Come back!"
The angels were quickly catching up with me. I needed to think fast. Looking down, I saw that no one was currently on the streets, and it looked clear enough.
I didn't really have time to practice, but I didn't have much of a choice. Gathering my energy around my wings, I began to collect more and more until I felt the right moment to release it.
Suddenly, a surge of energy burst from my wings, and I descended much more quickly. With a loud boom, I crashed towards the ground.
I quickly looked around my surroundings and found no one. I flew towards the direction of the gate to escape Heaven and return to Hell.
As I flew, more and more angels were leaving their homes and were now trying to surround me. I did my best to avoid them and not kill any of these innocent souls, but I was forced to knock out some of them since they were blocking my way.
Once I finally reached the gate, I tried to open it, but unfortunately, it was locked. Looking through it, I saw Saint Peter with the same orange glow in his eyes, holding a golden key.
He was smiling at me and waving before I felt something wrap around my arms. I looked back and saw that the angel guards were now holding chains around my wrists. I tried flying away, but they held on tight, not letting me get any further.
As I continued to struggle, more and more chains began to form around me, and it was getting harder and harder to fly. I was slowly being pulled back, and not long after, I was fully chained up, making it impossible to move.
I was quickly surrounded by angels asking all sorts of questions, but not one made a lick of sense. However, there was one question they all asked me:
"Why are you leaving us again?"
As I continued to struggle inside the chains, Sera finally appeared—and she was holding something rather large.
"Apologies, my lord, but this is for your own safety." She opened the item and placed me inside.
The item locked me in place. I wasn't able to move my body, but at least it didn't lock my head up as well.
"This here is a cage that changes depending on the size of the individual. I've modified it to keep you safe, my lord—and to add to that..." She began conjuring golden and white chains around me, making it even harder to escape.
"Sera, stop this! What do you think will happen if Mom and Dad find out about this?" I asked, hoping to make her listen to reason.
"Oh, that's simple... we exterminate all of Hell—even the ones below the Pride Ring. They will pay for stealing our Lord," Sera replied with a sadistic grin.
Oh boy.
"Now, bring our lord somewhere safe. We must begin preparations for war."
"Sera, you need to stop this, you can't go to war over something like thi—" I suddenly felt the world disappear as I drifted back to sleep.
"Sleep now, my lord. Once you wake up, all will be well," Sera said before kissing me on the forehead.
