Chapter 91 - Adam falls.............in love.

As the meeting began, Celestia summoned a pair of glasses and a large clipboard to write down any important details regarding the pushback of the exterminations.

But as the meeting continued, one would notice how... calm the meeting was. No yelling from Adam, no pushback or denial, which was weird for him. He usually hated doing these forms of meetings, but now he seemed rather docile.

Sera, noticing this rather odd behavior, didn't try to pry or find out why he was acting this way, but she really didn't mind. So long as Adam was behaving and playing nice, she didn't care that the first man was currently staring… at Celestia.

"Ahem, Adam, would you like to add anything regarding the matter?" Sera asked the first man.

"Huh, what? Oh, yeah, whatever. I don't care—whatever you want," Adam says as he waves off Sera.

Despite the lack of decorum from Adam, Sera simply signed the necessary paperwork to finalize this decision, and once she did, she handed it to Celestia, who read it and made sure everything was in order.

Once she had confirmed the authenticity of the document, she summoned a stamp with the official sigil of the Crowned Prince and completed the contract.

"Well, that was a rather quick meeting. Things don't usually go this smoothly when Adam's around, but it seems he's quite preoccupied right now," Sera says, looking down at the first man.

"I'm sure he has a lot on his mind right now. Isn't that right, Sir Adam?" Celestia says, looking directly at Adam, who immediately felt his golden blood rushing to his face.

"Wait—what are you looking at?!" Adam flushed, trying his best to look around and pretend he wasn't just staring.

"I see… well, if that's the case, why don't you go home, Adam? Take a break. After all, you have a lot to think about," Sera tells the blushing Adam.

"What!? I'm fine, okay!" Adam looked at Sera, confused and still blushing.

"Oh, of course! Then how's about you give our guest a tour here in Heaven? After all, it's her first time visiting," Sera tells Adam with a smirk on her face.

"Oh, absolutely n—" but before Adam could deny the request, someone spoke up.

"That would be delightful, Your Highness," Celestia cuts off Adam and gave Sera a gentle smile.

"Oh, don't mention it, and please call me Sera." Sera gave Celestia a warm smile before getting up from her seat and walking off.

"If you have any questions, feel free to ask Adam," Sera tells them from the doorway.

"Sera! Don't leave me here! Where are you even going!?" Adam questioned the seraphim.

"Oh, nothing important. Emily told me she had something important to tell me, so if you need me…" Sera didn't finish her sentence before leaving the first man alone with Celestia.

Once Celestia and Adam were alone in the meeting hall, Adam, despite his bravado toward women, couldn't speak—let alone look at Celestia—without feeling a faint blush spread across his cheeks.

Surprisingly, it was Celestia who made the first move.

"So… Sir Adam, where should we go first?" Celestia says, looking Adam directly in the eyes with a bright, radiant smile.

"Umm… uh." Adam couldn't think of what to say, as every time he would try to think of something, his mind would completely go blank looking at the woman in front of him.

Celestia, seeing the hesitation from Adam, simply grabbed his arm and began to walk with him outside the meeting hall.

"Come on! You still need to show me around!" Celestia said excitedly while holding Adam's arm.

"Uh, yeah… sure," Adam says awkwardly, looking away from Celestia a bit.

Celestia simply smiles at Adam, and before Adam knew it, they were already outside and walking around.

Celestia would look in amazement as she stared at the city of angels and would occasionally ask Adam questions about the different people and buildings in Heaven.

And despite Adam feeling a bit... shy during all this, he would do and try his best to answer any and all questions Celestia had for him.

After a bit, Celestia soon realized it was almost time for her to leave, as she had more work to finish back in the Pale Kingdom.

"Thank you once again for showing me around in Heaven. This place is... beautiful," Celestia says, looking toward the golden city.

"Yeah… it's pretty rad," Adam says, rubbing his head a bit and looking slightly away from Celestia.

"It truly is, as you say… rad, but unfortunately I still have work and have to cut this visit a bit short," Celestia says, pulling away from Adam's arm.

But as Celestia pulled away, just as quickly Adam grabbed her arm and looked nervous beyond compare.

"Um… ah… if you don't mind… maybe you could visit again… you know… just the two of us again," Adam asked Celestia with a large blush forming on his face.

"Oh! Of course! Maybe sometime this week, I'm free by then," Celestia tells Adam.

"Oh shit! That's… awesome!" Adam exclaimed, excited and pumped.

Celestia simply smiled at the angel's antics and moved closer toward the first man, lifting his hand and giving it a kiss.

This caught Adam off guard, as he wasn't really expecting this, and Celestia, for the most part, simply copied what Stygian does when he greets any female—so an inverse happened. Celestia assumed she should do this when speaking with a male.

"I'll be waiting," Celestia says before a portal opened behind her, and she simply walked through, leaving the first man alone.

As the first man was left alone, his heart began to pound and beat like drums, his breath hitching and his hands beginning to sweat.

Not knowing what's wrong with him, Adam simply flew high into the sky, and before he knew it, he was high above the clouds.

🎵 "WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?!" — Adam's Rock Love Song for Celestia

ADAM (spoken, pissed and panicking):

Why does my chest feel weird—

Did someone stab me?

No?

…THEN WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?!

---

🎶 Verse 1

I've fought demons, angels, gods,

I've torn the sky apart.

Never thought the thing that'd kill me

Was a secretary with a golden heart.

You walk in with your clipboard,

Hair glowing like a sunrise flame—

And suddenly the world gets quiet

Every time you say my name.

What kind of joke is Heaven playin'?

'Cause I swear this isn't right—

Feeling warm around the edges

When I'm built for holy fights.

---

🎶 Pre-Chorus

You make my halo flicker,

You make my temper break—

I shouldn't feel a damn thing

But you shake me like an earthquake.

---

🎶 Chorus

Tell me—WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?!

Why's my pulse goin' crazy every time that you exist?!

I'm a weapon, you're an angel,

But something doesn't fit—

Are you heaven's sweetest blessing

Or a curse I can't resist?!

WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?!

I don't fall, I don't bend—

But you're turning my whole world

On its head again!

If this is love then damn—

I've never felt like this…

So tell me—

WHAT. THE. HELL. IS. THIS?!

---

🎶 Verse 2

Whenever you fix your glasses,

I forget how to breathe.

Whenever you talk politely,

I swear my heart tries to leave.

You take notes while I'm raging,

You smile while I fail—

I'd fight a hundred legions

But I can't fight how I… feel.

You ask me if I'm angry—

Hell yes, I'm not okay!

You're turning every battle

Into something I can't slay.

---

🎶 Pre-Chorus

I'm losing all my footing,

I'm losing all control—

When you look at me like that

It's like you see right through my soul.

---

🎶 Chorus

Tell me—WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?!

Why's my chest feel on fire from a simple little kiss?!

I'm a soldier, you're an angel,

I'm a storm you can't dismiss—

But you're calm inside the chaos

And I'm terrified of this!

WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?!

I don't melt, I don't break—

But you've got me praying heaven

For a chance I shouldn't take!

If this is love then hell—

It hurts worse than a hit…

So someone tell me—

WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?!

---

🎶 Bridge

I'm not built for gentleness,

I'm not made for soft and warm—

But you touch my hand and suddenly

I don't need to fight a war.

Maybe love's a battlefield,

Maybe you're my greatest win—

But how do I start confessing

When I don't know how to begin?

---

🎶 Final Chorus

WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?!

All my armor's collapsing when you're standing near like this!

You're a sunrise in the wreckage,

A truth I can't dismiss—

You're the contradiction breaking

Every rule I ever lived!

WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?!

If I fall, would you stay?

Could a fallen man like me

Find redemption in your way?

If this is love then maybe…

Maybe I won't resist.

'Cause damn, Celestia—

I think this is bliss.

And I'd scream it to the heavens:

THIS.

IS.

WHAT.

LOVE.

IS.

(Song end)

---

Adam then began to slowly land and walk alone, thinking on what to do next. But as he walked the streets of Heaven, a pair of golden eyes watched in disdain as the man she loved is bewitched by a demon from Hell.
