Caelen walked in removing his shirt which was soaked in pine frost scented pheromones. He entered the bathroom and opened the shower. The scene from the long night played in his head. He covered his face with his hands as they struck the water flowing down.
Caelen remembered the citrus flower tattoo on Soren's shoulder. What was that? Did he get that because I have a citrus scent?

He shook his head to push away those thoughts.
Caelen pushed open the glass door of Uncle Shu's convenience store. Uncle Shu sat in his usual spot behind the counter, coffee in his hand.
Miral caught Caelen's eye and offered a warm smile while sliding items across the scanner for the waiting customers.
Caelen bowed to both of them before settling onto a stool beside Uncle Shu.
