Soren was walking down the hall and spotted a pregnant woman as her belly was protruding.
He froze at the sight. I can't keep pretending like I'm all okay. He jolted his head. Can't I just see him, just to know if he is doing okay?
I know Caelen. What if I end up making him emotionally unstable?
He walked away and settled in his car. His head was filled with Caelen's thoughts, and he just sat there for almost ten minutes.
Then he let out a deep breath and called someone, "Remember the target I assigned you last time?"
"Yes sir, Mr. Caelen, I remember."
"Take me to his place," Soren glanced at the car windows, "Bring a car with tinted windows."
"Yes sir."
The car was parked in the alleyway that led to Caelen's house. Soren had been waiting for two hours inside the car.
Will I be able to see him? His eyes wandered around. The conditions of the town are not good. I never realized there was a place like this in the city.
