Ron Ronz seemed to realize only now that he was in reality; he stood up with a somewhat dazed expression.
As if still immersed in the World of illusions.
This was all because Dane had materialized the things in his memory in excessively specific detail.
Every person, every expression, every sound, every color was so vivid.
Dane knew that Martian Manhunter had nine sensory systems, and to make all nine of his senses feel the experience, he put in a lot of effort to prepare beforehand.
The main goal was immersion, and it seemed to be working quite well.
"Is this real?" Ron couldn't help but ask him.
"Are you referring to Parallax?"
"I mean all of it." Martian Manhunter looked at his hands.
Dane smiled and said to him, "It's real, Ron. What you saw in your memory are all things that will happen in the future."
Ron understood his meaning.
Foreseeing the future—even during the most prosperous times of Martian civilization, he had heard that some of his people possessed similar abilities, so he accepted it quickly.
Most importantly, if he hadn't seen such a terrifying monster as Parallax with his own eyes, he wouldn't believe Dane could imagine it out of thin air.
Dane: In fact, I can.
He was silent for a moment before speaking: "You showed me this, what do you want me to do?"
"Quite the opposite." Dane shook his head, "I showed you these scenes because I hope you will tell me..."
"What do you want to do?"
With that, Dane stood up, a flash of light on his body transforming into a pure White wizard's cloak.
Beneath the cloak, Ron could faintly feel an explosive energy filling it.
Dane's expression became serious:
"Allow me to introduce myself. I am the current Shazam, Master of the Rock of Eternity, defender of the magic domain, and Guardian of Earth."
"Now, a great enemy is approaching, Martian Manhunter Ron Ronz. As a member of the Guardian, I must confirm your stance!"
Ron reverted to his Martian Manhunter appearance and solemnly said to Dane, "I am willing to contribute my strength to protect Earth!"
"But I'm not strong enough; I'm afraid I can't handle Parallax."
Parallax's performance here cannot be fully referenced from the movie; Hal flying from Earth to the Sun gave Parallax too much time to understand his intentions.
Even if Parallax were stupid, it wouldn't foolishly step into a trap, so they had to consider the worst-case scenario.
If they could intercept it in space, that would be best, without fearing collateral damage to civilians from the battle.
Nor would they have to worry about Parallax constantly strengthening itself by absorbing fear, but this was only the best-case scenario in their imagination.
"To deal with this crisis, I formed a team a few years ago called the Justice League."
"Ron, I once thought about inviting you to join, but your attitude made me very hesitant."
Ron looked at him, puzzled.
Dane explained:
"Because you hid too well. I never saw your Shadow in any event, to the point where I suspected you might not want to be involved in these matters at all."
"That's not right!" Ron couldn't help but defend himself.
"My friend, Dr. Ord, said that Earthlings are not yet ready to accept my existence, so I must hide myself!"
Then he suddenly remembered: "Did you know my identity through your precognitive ability?"
Although it wasn't the case, Dane still nodded, going along with his implication.
Ron said excitedly, "Then that means, in the future, I am actually one of you too!"
If the premise is correct, what you said is not wrong.
But in Zack Snyder's movie Universe, you weren't there when Superman died, and you weren't there when Steppenwolf arrived.
You only appeared after the Justice League's first team fight was over.
However, movies have many Real World factors and cannot be directly referenced; Dane only believed what he saw with his own eyes.
In the recent test, Martian Manhunter's performance was quite good.
He was able to face Parallax alone when other superheroes were not present, at least proving that he possessed a righteous heart.
Based on this alone, the other members of the JLA would not object to his joining.
"Then, here I represent the Justice League to formally invite you."
"Martian Manhunter Ron Ronz, are you willing to become a member of the Justice League and work together to save this Planet?"
Ron nodded firmly: "If it's for the right cause, I am willing!"
From this sentence, it can be seen that he not only had the intention to uphold Justice but also the corresponding prudence.
Otherwise, he wouldn't have specifically emphasized "the right cause"; what is the right cause? The right to interpret it is in his own hands.
"Alright, the first thing you need to do now."
"Is to use your identity as a human general to find a way to evacuate the citizens of Coast City."
"Time is running out; Parallax is rushing towards Earth!"
Upon hearing this, Ron immediately felt immense pressure.
Evacuating an entire city sounds easy, but it's extremely difficult to do.
Although Coast City is not a star city, it has millions of people.
To transfer so many people at once is not a question of how long it would take, but simply impossible!
But Ron thought of the tragic scenes he had seen in his memory, gritted his teeth, and agreed.
At worst, he would use his psychic abilities to control all officials and force them to relocate the populace.
Dane also felt that trying to move everyone was a bit much to ask, so he thought for a moment.
He said, "Evacuating the populace is definitely necessary, but you can make another preparation."
"Parallax is following the trail of yellow energy, so if you just move the person with that energy to a deserted place at sea, you can buy Coast City some time."
Ron's eyes lit up, and he quickly asked, "Who is that person?"
"He is Checkmate's super-criminal, Hector Hammond..."
"He should currently be controlled by a woman named Amanda Waller."
"Checkmate?" Ron said in surprise; he seemed to have heard that name somewhere.
Dane stepped forward and patted his shoulder:
"I believe with your connections in the Army, finding Hector shouldn't be difficult, after all, the crime he committed had quite an impact in Coast City."
"Do you use Kuaishou?"
"Huh?" The topic jump was a bit large, and Ron didn't react for a moment.
"I don't..." He was a little embarrassed.
He didn't like overly noisy things; the repeatedly played music clips on Kuaishou would make him very irritable... It seemed Ron was more old-fashioned in his thinking, Dane nodded and said:
"You can download one. Many self-media outlets are covering Hector's case; you can start there."
Ron could only nod. He vaguely remembered that one of his subordinates usually liked to browse Kuaishou, so maybe he could ask him.
But he still needed to ask the most important question: "When will Parallax arrive on Earth?"
"I don't know that. Ever since I started actively interfering with future changes, many details of the future have become blurry."
Dane shook his head, "But don't worry, we have several satellites in space. As long as Parallax appears within the Solar System, it can be detected immediately."
Ron was temporarily relieved to hear this.
Dane remembered something and reminded him, "Oh, by the way, do you want to find some time to meet the other members?"
"I'll remind you, you're not the only extraterrestrial in the team."
"Then I would like to meet them." Ron showed some interest, but his thoughts were more focused on Parallax 0.2.
Dane saw this, "Alright then, it seems you're not in the mood right now, so meeting the members can wait."
"Let's resolve this incident first."
Ron nodded heavily, and with a heavy heart, he turned and flew out of the building.
Dane watched his receding back, lamenting that another tool-person had been added to the League.
From this conversation, it could be seen that Ron was actually a somewhat straightforward and honest person.
Although his age made him somewhat cautious, as expected, he was generally the kind of person who was relatively easy to persuade.
With this, the League's strength increased once again.
However, Ron's weakness was too problematic; the fear of Fire would surely be easily discovered by enemies.
Unless they could deal with Parallax in space, where the air is thin and Fire cannot burn.
Once Parallax entered the atmosphere, Ron would likely be the first person in the League to lose combat effectiveness.
Who fights these days without some sparks!
