Chapter 253 - Chapter 252: Battle of the Gods

After easily killing Susanoo, Dane took out the Wizard Scepter and, in plain sight, directly absorbed his divine power, not even sparing the other party's divine soul.

However, Susanoo didn't have a respectable divinity.

Dane found that the other party had powerful divine power, but his divinity was chaotic, with roles in combat, harvest, and kingship.

In short, he had all sorts of miscellaneous roles, but not a decisive divinity and authority like other main Gods.

He recalled the legends about this God. Initially, Susanoo was assigned to the Plain of the Blue Sea as the ruler of the sea, but he found it troublesome and didn't go.

So, the divinity that could have made him a God of Storms was lost, and later this divinity was shared among other nascent Gods.

However, because Susanoo still had the circulating legend of subduing the Yamata no Orochi, his fame was not low.

He was more likely worshipped as a valiant War God, but this kind of divinity was useless to Dane. Wasn't the God of War divinity better?

But at least he was a God, and one of the most famous "Three Noble Children" of Takamagahara. Keeping him might be useful.

The Gods watched as Dane, as if no one else was there, plundered everything from a God, and all gasped in shock.

If their divine souls escaped, they still had a chance to recover, but if even their divine souls were snatched away, there was no chance of resurrection left for them!

Moreover, all the Gods were well-traveled and knowledgeable; there was no God who didn't recognize the Scepter in Dane's hand.

"That Scepter, that person is Shazam!"

The Gods finally knew who Dane was, and their expressions immediately changed drastically.

"Prophecy" is not a power that every God possesses, but in a complete pantheon, there will always be one or two Gods with precognitive abilities.

So they all knew that the Hell Key had been obtained by Shazam.

And they also knew that Shazam's fate was strange, which was why they had not dared to attack Hell before, only secretly observing it.

This time, if Hades hadn't taken the lead in attacking Hell, the other Gods might have continued to observe in secret until Dane successfully took over Hell.

But things had progressed to this extent, and the Gods also had their pride. It was impossible for them to bow down to Dane like Susanoo, much less directly surrender.

So they could only bite the bullet and continue fighting. Perhaps fate was not irreversible?

The prophecy only said that fate was strange, not that they would necessarily suffer misfortune if they participated. Let's do it!

Hades keenly grasped the thoughts of the Gods present and sneered inwardly.

He knew these guys were blinded by greed. Even if they knew it was time to stop, they had already taken so much territory in Hell; how could they stop just like that?

But Hades didn't care. His stance was inherently hostile to Shazam, so he said to the other Gods at the same time:

"Everyone, the true Master of this Hell has appeared. I believe you all know about that prophecy.

But I want to say, I don't believe in fate!

As long as we join forces to kill him, what if he is the fated one?"

"No matter how strong he is, he cannot be a match for our combined forces!"

Marduk, the chief God of Babylon, asked him, "If we kill him, how will Hell be divided?"

"Divided equally among the number of pantheons present," Hades said indifferently.

In truth, everyone knew that even if they snatched Hell from Shazam, they would still have to divide it according to their strength.

But if they said that directly, this fragile alliance would not be formed.

Now, they only received this verbal promise to prepare for the subsequent struggle.

After this loose alliance was formed, Hades was the first to attack Dane.

The golden bident in his hand thrust towards Dane.

Just as Dane was about to raise his double-bladed battle-axe, he heard Cortana's reminder in his ear.

"Dane, that weapon has N Metal energy radiation, and it's extremely similar to Doctor Fate's frequency band!"

Dane's action of raising his axe instantly stopped, and he threw Odin out with a backhand. Odin was much stronger than Susanoo, and Dane would need more time to absorb his divine power.

But the gods present clearly wouldn't give him that time.

When Hades saw Odin blocking his way, he not only didn't step aside but also accelerated.

"Hades, fuck you!"

Thor had recovered a little, and seeing this, his hair stood on end with rage. He grabbed mjolnir and flew towards Hades.

At the same time, the gods from other pantheons also took action.

Set, the Egyptian god of desert and storms, wielded a golden dagger and slashed at Dane. Dane reacted quickly and raised his axe to block it.

In the shadows, Osiris, the God of Death, appeared, attempting to repeat his trick and stab Dane's waist.

But Dane had already sensed it. He hooked his foot, picking up Odin's gungnir that was stuck in the ground, and with a nimble flick of his ankle, he sent the spear tip flying towards Osiris.

At this moment, Anubis suddenly emerged from underground. He placed his hands on Dane, attempting to shake Dane's soul with his God of Death authority.

However, he realized he had miscalculated.

Dane's soul was as unshakable as a mountain, and Anubis even felt a familiar divine power from the counter-attacking force.

"God of Death's power? You—!"

Anubis's words were cut short as Dane grabbed his jackal head.

"Prying into other people's privacy isn't a good habit."

The higher God of Death's power directly rushed into Anubis's body, attracting the God of Death's power within the opponent like a magnet.

Under the siphon effect, it was drawn out of his body, and finally, this power was re-absorbed into Dane's body.

Anubis instantly understood. He was blessed by Death, a person who, like the First of the Fallen, was conceptually rejected by Death. As long as he himself didn't wish it, he wouldn't die.

They simply couldn't kill him!

Anubis suddenly turned his head to look at Set and Osiris: "We've been tricked, he is—"

But he didn't even have time to finish speaking before Dane grabbed his head and slammed him fiercely to the ground. At that very moment, the last bit of God of Death's power on him was also absorbed by Dane.

This guy also had the God of Death's divinity, which happened to be an effective supplement for Dane, so he unceremoniously accepted it, taking Anubis's soul along with it.

Because it was a power of the same origin, he absorbed it even faster than Susanoo, completing it in a few seconds.

In the blink of an eye, Set's son was gone.

"Bastard!"

He instantly flew into a rage, his divine power surging throughout his body, and the surrounding land instantly turned into a sea of yellow sand.

At the same time, a storm centered on him and Dane began to churn, and a massive sandstorm quickly formed in a short time. The raging sand transformed into sharp blades, mercilessly cutting Dane's body.

And Set had already transformed into wind and sand, hiding among the billions of swirling grains of sand.

In Dane's blind spots, where he couldn't be seen, he used the golden sword in his hand to cut his body.

This sword, like the godfire sword, was forged from N Metal, so it had extremely strong lethality against divine bodies.

Even Dane couldn't pass through such an artifact's attack unscathed.

So, as the wind and sand swept, more and more blood flowed from his body. The blood was carried away by the wind and sand, and finally absorbed by the sandstorm.

Dane originally tried to slash him with Ares's axe, but he seemed to have truly transformed into a gale, formless and intangible, yet pervasive.

Dane's eyes lit up with dazzling lightning. He looked up, connecting his divine power with the celestial phenomena, drawing down bolts of lightning.

But he wasn't the only god present with the ability to summon wind and rain.

Enlil of Sumeria and Marduk of Babylon simultaneously exercised their authorities, disrupting the celestial phenomena in this place, preventing Dane from smoothly drawing on the power of lightning.

"Dane, you're losing too much blood, you must escape your current predicament quickly!" Cortana reminded him.

"I know, but it's not that easy."

Dane leaped into the sky, wanting to escape the wind prison forged by the sandstorm from above, but a dark evil god was already waiting there.

Ahriman of Zoroastrianism blew a breath at the flying Dane, instantly stealing his vision.

He was the embodiment of Darkness and Death. Originally, this breath could directly take the life of a person or a god, but only "Darkness" had an effect on Dane.

But Dane didn't need vision at all. Guided by Cortana, an arc-glowing fist instantly sent Ahriman flying.

At the same time, he heard a sound from another direction, and Cortana told him the exact location.

He recalled his battle-axe and swung it out with a backhand, instantly feeling it strike a very sturdy metal.

It was Nuada's silver hand.

Dane's lightning spread from the battle-axe to Nuada, stiffening him all over with electricity, and then he was kicked out of the sky.

But immediately after, behind Dane, Hades appeared silently. He once again held his bident and thrust it down at Dane!
