''I wonder who tried to give me that liquid. It's a good thing I poured it outside when I was with my mother. Now, how will I escape from this heavily guarded place?
*A knock was heard on Icereal's door, catching her off guard. "Who is it?" All that was heard was silence. She asked again and again and again but received no response. In a fit of anger, she rushed to the door and opened it. "Who keeps knocking on my room door like th...at?" "You!" she said in a low voice, but it was loud enough for him to hear.
"Hello, wife," resting at the side of the door, arms crossed, was Oscar, forcing her to stagger backward. "Are you drunk? Because you reek of alcohol," she said as she hissed at him.
Before she knew what was happening, everything went black.
In the middle of the night, she regained her consciousness only to find her naked body being held by the waist, alongside Oscar's naked body as well. But she regained her consciousness for only a few seconds. She woke up a few other times but kept passing out. Oscar kept staring at her as she woke up and passed out each time. He couldn't sleep because he knew she would feel shattered when she woke up in the morning.
"You're even more beautiful when you sleep, darling," he said as he kissed her left cheek and whispered in her ear.
*I guess the mischievous king does have a conscience.*
Morning finally came, and Icereal was regaining full consciousness.
Yawning, I woke to go to the bathroom. Getting down from my bed, I stood up and was about to walk when suddenly, I felt terrible pain between my thighs. Confused, I tried getting up, thinking maybe I tripped over my nightgown. But I was surprised when I kept grabbing nothing. Then I realized I was naked, and there was blood between my legs!
"What! What's this?" And then the images kept flashing through my head like a live drama play.
*A very loud scream was heard throughout the castle, reaching the king's quarters and making him jump out of his nap. He knew instantly where the scream came from.*
"Barely able to stand, I called the attending maids weakly, tears dripping down my cheeks. Why?" I asked, hurt and devastated.
*A week passed by. One afternoon, Icereal was summoned by the king.*
"What does he seek? Hasn't he done enough?" I said as the maid dressed me up.
"Your Highness, please don't say that. The king has spies everywhere."
She was right, but I didn't care! It takes about thirty minutes of work to reach the king's quarters, and he was in his study room, which adds an extra five minutes.
I knocked on the door, and a voice replied, "Come in." The maids who came with me walked to the side as if waiting for me alone to go in. Sigh. It seemed as if I was entering the lion's den alone. Scoffing, I walked in and was met with two officials along with the wicked king, but I didn't notice there was someone else inside. "Sit," I heard Oscar say while motioning his hand to a chair in the center of the room. Confused, I didn't have a choice and went and sat down in the chair.
"Doctor, please examine her.
"Doctor?! What?" I watched as the doctor took my hands and started feeling my pulse, eyes, and tongue. It took about thirty minutes before he was done.
"An heir is on his way," I heard him say. At first, I didn't understand, but then, after a few seconds, it became clear. No!!
"What rubbish are you spouting out?"
*Everyone in the room was shocked. Everyone except for the king had never heard Queen Icereal speak out. She always kept quiet. But even he was surprised.*
'Absolutely not! There is no way I would ever bear your child,' she said, pointing at Oscar.
Walking towards the door to leave, she was caught off guard by Oscar's words.
'We'll see about that,' he said, giving her a wicked grin as he drank a glass of blood.
*Iceral was devastated as she walked back to her quarters, but she decided she needed fresh air and took the other route, which was to the third queen's quarters. Going down the long stairs, she walked towards the other queen's quarters.
The other queen's quarters were close to the king's quarters, so it wasn't long before she walked through the corridors. The third queen's quarters were a little dull and more crowded than hers. She always wondered why she got the furthest quarters from the rest of them, but she liked the quiet company. She was the low-key forgotten wife, who didn't get much attention, but she loved it that way. 'Less attention means freedom.'
As she was looking around, she suddenly heard loud laughter. Although she didn't recognize the voice, she could tell it was the third queen, Quitar. While she was still wondering what could possibly be funny to make her laugh like that, she heard another voice. Although it was faint, she knew very well who it was: the Fourth Queen, Meliccia.
Curious about what business they both had with each other, she decided to use her ability, 'Enhanced Hearing,' to listen. Moving further away from them so as not to alert anyone, she stopped just outside the queen's quarters. Any normal vamp wouldn't be able to hear at that distance, but she wasn't just any vamp. She focused and listened to what they were discussing.
'Do you really think it would work? I mean, she isn't just a normal vampire,' Quitar said.
'We could try. If we get rid of both of them, we'll finally have the king to ourselves,' Meliccia replied.
'But what if a war breaks out?'
'We'll act as if we're loyal wives and support our husband. Then, no one will suspect a thing. He'll have no choice but to mate with us.'
'But know this: I won't leave the throne for anyone, not even you.'
'Neither will I. But let that war be for later. Let us find a way to kill that overly proud first queen and then put the blame on the stupid second queen.'
'No, we can not do that. Their families will easily find out the truth. They would cast spells, or the vamps would check memories. It has to be in a way that is not suspicious.'
'Aha! I know,' she said as she snapped her fingers. 'There's a ball in the next six months. We'll mess with their carriages and let them lose track of the road and fall down a cliff.'
'Seriously, Quitar. What cliff? We can't just mess with their carriages; their security is very tight, especially the first queen. The king doesn't leave her side.'
'We'll send spies who will do the job.'
Iceral had heard enough. She decided to leave for her quarters. She knew that when they were informed about her unborn child, they'd probably delay it until the child was old enough. Why? To make the king desperate for their children to be heirs and to make it more painful.
Iceral had tried escaping a few times but was caught by the king. He knew she would try to run away, so he decided to keep an eye on her, doubling her security. The other queens had tried to attack her, but each time, Oscar was there to stop them.
Over the months, they grew closer. But Iceral knew she would have to escape sooner or later.
In the meantime, she was taught all she needed to know concerning her unborn child. Every royal child is to be born in seven months, certain foods to be eaten, what to wear, what to do, and how to ease her excruciating pain each time the child kicked.*
*Finally, Iceral was in labor. Everyone was running around trying to assist with the child's safe delivery. After an hour and a half, she finally gave birth to a male child. After looking at her child for a few minutes, she passed out with tears of joy still on her face.*
Taking my child from his cradle, I looked at him with a bright smile. 'He is gorgeous,' I said as I giggled. 'All females would probably faint when they see him. He has deep red eyes, which is strange, because I have light red eyes.and his hair is gorgeous white. which is also strange.
Sigh, you're going to have to be careful because being an heir is so hard. With the other queen's being pregnant, too, it's obvious they're going to want to hurt you. but don't worry, mum will keep you safe by God's grace.
' Not knowing the king was outside listening. he knew sooner or later she'll find out what species he was from.afterall, she was his child's mother'
* Five years had gone by.
It was time for the heir to be presented to the king. in the Trexz royal family tradition,
Every heir is only allowed to see his father when he turns five, showing his knowledge ,skills, and growth.
Icereal got her child ready, and he was taken by the king guards to the court room were he'll meet the king's officials. including the betrayers and the loyal ones.
'What's your name? ' his father asked while sitting on his thrown.
'Raphael Kingston Threxz. the heir to the Trexz royal family bloodline.
' Stunned, his father asked again. how old are you?
' I am five years old. your majesty.
'Everyone was stunned and proud, They all gave compliments.your mother raised you well. you will make a fine king'
*Even those who had other plans of rebellion.*
Other questions were asked.
Her child was returned to her the following day.*
"Good day, Mother
'Sigh, I've been here waiting for you the whole day. you missed your fencing and self-defense classes today. Apparently, it's good because your half brother's came to bully you, especially the fat one. but were met with an empty training field.
' They can't bully me, I'll kick their ass.
'Really? that is awesome. 'she said giggling.
