"What?" I let out, a bit confused because I'm not sure I completely caught what Willa said.
But she definitely said I was throwing myself at boys back in school, didn't she?
As if it's a mistake on her part, her face goes pale and her composure wavers. She darts her eyes away awkwardly, acting as though she finds it hard to speak.
"What did you just say?" I ask again.
"Huh? N-No, it's nothing. I gotta go."
Without wasting a second, she bolts back upstairs.
I watch as she sprints away, thinking about what she said because it stirs some familiar memories.
I stand there, eyes lingering on the empty stairs as I rack my brain.
Where have I heard these words before?
Oh! It clicks in my head.
Isn't that one of the rumors that used to circulate about me in school?

I flutter my lashes, trying to confirm whether or not it is, because back then, I didn't pay much attention to it.
