Chapter 188 - Chapter 188 – Could It Be That I’m Really Getting Old?

Yu Zhou waved back at Asuka as he greeted him.

"Senpai… who was that just now?"

Asuka looked puzzled. The Light Giant who had appeared was someone he had never seen before, yet seemed familiar with Yu Zhou.

"That's Camearra, an ancient giant who lives in R'lyeh," Yu Zhou replied. Since Asuka had seen her, it wouldn't hurt to explain a little about her.

After all, when they eventually returned to his world, everyone would need to know each other.

"Camearra?"

Asuka was confused. He had never heard this name before. He hadn't expected that, aside from the two Tiga Ultramen and a Gaia Ultraman, there was another Light Giant.

"That's right. She resides in the ruins of R'lyeh—or rather, it's no longer accurate to call them ruins," Yu Zhou explained.

Very few people knew about the Light Giants on R'lyeh. Apart from some TPC personnel, most were unaware. Camearra had likely been living among humans all these years, her identity kept secret. Since Asuka had just joined the Super Victory Team, it was natural he didn't know about R'lyeh.

"I've heard of R'lyeh before… it's supposed to be a super-luxurious city," Asuka recalled. "I didn't expect there to be Light Giants there!"

Yu Zhou shook his head at Asuka's ignorance and decided to give him a brief history lesson.

"Thirty million years ago, there were many Light Giants on Earth," Yu Zhou said slowly. "R'lyeh is a city rebuilt in the ancient age."

"Inside it reside three ancient giants: Camearra, Hudra, and Darramb. They all have a special relationship with Tiga."

"A special relationship?" Asuka perked up, wanting to catch every detail.

"Cough… these three giants were Tiga's companions thirty million years ago," Yu Zhou emphasized. "Camearra, in particular, was Tiga's wife."

"Wife?!"

Asuka's eyes widened, as if he'd uncovered a shocking secret.

"Senpai… I didn't expect you to have a wife!"

Clearly, despite Yu Zhou clarifying it was Tiga from thirty million years ago, Asuka still misunderstood.

"It's not my wife. It was Tiga's wife thirty million years ago!"

Yu Zhou lightly tapped Asuka's head in explanation.

"Isn't Tiga you, Senpai?" Asuka still didn't understand, rubbing his head. "Could it be… Daigo-senpai?"

"I'm not explaining further. Just know it's not me," Yu Zhou muttered, exasperated.

Asuka scratched his head, unsure what to say. Why wouldn't Yu Zhou admit to having a wife?

Still, he didn't dwell on it. He only needed to remember that three Light Giants lived in R'lyeh, and they had connections to Yu Zhou. In future crises, he could seek help from Camearra and the others.

Yu Zhou, meanwhile, returned home after defeating the mushroom monster, resuming his gaming.

Unless a monster was especially strong, there was no need for him to intervene—Dyna could handle it. Yu Zhou's purpose in fighting monsters in this world was to gain experience and improve his combat skills.

Now, most monsters posed no real challenge to him, making battles rather boring.

He decided he would only step in against stronger monsters, and would continue using this time to prepare.

He also planned to visit R'lyeh eventually, to spar with Hudra and Darramb. Mutual training would boost his experience and help the others improve their combat abilities, which would be useful when they eventually returned to his world.

After some time being lazy at home, Yu Zhou prepared to head to R'lyeh.

He needed to transform first, so he went to a beach, taking out his Spark Lense, ready to fly across the Pacific.

Suddenly, a long-haired little girl ran up.

"Big brother, could you move your foot?"

Yu Zhou paused, lowering the Spark Lense to look at his foot.

Beneath it, something in the sand was glowing.

"What's this?" Yu Zhou dug it out, revealing a delicate crystal box containing a small blue-and-white-furred creature.

"Is it alive?" The girl held the box, delighted. "It's so cute!"

"What's your name, little one?" Yu Zhou asked, examining the creature and the girl.

"I'm Yuka!"

Yu Zhou paused.

Could it be that he really was getting old?

Daigo's daughter called him "uncle" because of their family friendship—it made sense. But now this little girl was calling him "uncle" too? Was he really old enough for that?

"You can just call me big brother," he said, forcing a smile.

It felt strange saying it—almost like a creepy old man.

"Uncle, what's in here? It's so cute!"

Yuka, holding the crystal box, had never seen a creature like this before.

"Put it down! That thing is dangerous!"

A strange man appeared, holding a gun.

His eyes were heavily shaded with blue and black, wearing a silver uniform. He didn't look human.

Seeing Yuka, his eyes widened in shock.

"She's too much like… her!"

His expression softened, showing affection.

Yu Zhou's mind clicked. This man must be an alien, a special investigator from the Dais Star in the Bazu Nebula. He had come to Earth to eliminate a fierce intergalactic monster—the very creature Yuka was holding in the crystal box.

He spoke gently to Yuka: "It's dangerous. Please give it to me so I can destroy it!"

"I won't!" Yuka hugged the box tightly, frowning at the alien.

"You must give it to me. It's really dangerous!"

The alien grew agitated. His own daughter had died at the hands of a monster called Gyabish. Now, this Earth girl, who looked so much like her, was clutching the same kind of monster. He couldn't accept it.

"I'll protect you!"

The more he looked at Yuka, the more she reminded him of his lost daughter. He ran toward her, trying to take the box.
