'Yes, yes, yes, open it, open it, OPEN IT—'
I reached the top and stood right in front of it. It was big. Really big. The silver engravings on the edges were glowing. Pulsing. Like they had a heartbeat.
My hand reached out and I was shaking so bad I could barely keep it steady. My fingertips touched the smooth white surface.
Everything changed.
Suddenly, I felt a shock go through me. Warm. Electric. It was as if the coffin recognized me or something and that thought was insane but I felt it anyway.
The whispers suddenly stopped.
Complete silence.
Then a voice. Clear and loud and coming from inside the coffin.
"Finally."
I jerked my hand back so fast I almost fell off the platform.
What the fuck. What the fuck, what the fuck—
"Open it. Open it now."
A woman's voice. Commanding. Desperate.
I was shaking. Full body shaking. This was insane. This wasn't real. None of this was real.
