Second Layer of the Supernatural Realm
Matthew looked at the girl strangely.
He suspected this girl might have developed a mental disorder from being frightened.
At a time like this, why was she still saying these things?
Would it be of any use?
Did she think that if she told him these things, he wouldn't kill her?
"Also, your achievements at the first layer of the supernatural realm... the fact that you were able to get an SSS-grade mission rating should actually be thanks to you. You are the strongest among the freshmen. We have all been deceived by you!"
The girl continued.
Natalie suddenly spoke up. "She's stalling for time! There are only a dozen minutes left before the mission ends."
Upon hearing this, the girl's expression changed.
Matthew suddenly realized.
Once the mission time was over, the girl would be teleported back.
Only… trying to stall him for another ten minutes or so?
'Dream on!' Matthew stared at the girl, gave her a broad smile, and then strode towards her.
Ten minutes. That was enough for him to kill this girl eight hundred times over.
Just when there was a distance of 5 meters between Matthew and the girl, the girl's eyes suddenly sharpened.
Then, her skin quickly turned red and emitted white steam, as if it had been cooked.
The next moment, the girl transformed into a black shadow, like a sharp arrow, and suddenly crashed into Matthew.
"Thump!"
A bright red fist struck Matthew, hitting his arms, which he had raised to chest level to protect himself.
This strike seems to have tremendous power!
Matthew's body was slid back more than ten meters, his feet carving a trench in the ground.
"That was a good punch!"
"I didn't expect you to have this kind of move."
Matthew released his arms from in front of his chest and looked at the girl with some surprise.
That move just now was somewhat similar to Luffy's Gear Second Punch, but not the same.
He smiled and said, "Great! I didn't have enough fun before, so you'll have to play with me properly now!"
Then Matthew continued walking towards the girl.
Unexpectedly, when Miss Smith saw that Matthew was unharmed, a look of despair appeared on her face.
Then, she knelt on the ground with a thud.
That last attack had exhausted all her strength, and she was now in a state of extreme weakness.
Matthew could clearly see that the white steam on the girl's body was rapidly disappearing, and even her abnormal red skin was fading away.
It only took a short while, and the girl now looked like she had lost some weight.
Matthew immediately frowned. It was evident that the opponent had exhausted all her energy to deliver that punch.
"So, it was a one-time skill. Then why did you keep me waiting so long?"
He stopped dawdling and prepared to send the other person on her way.
"Don't kill me, please, don't kill me... I have money, I can give you a lot of money..."
"Yes, yes, my father is the famous Ethan Smith! I am his beloved daughter. If you kill me, you will surely face his revenge..."
-Bang
With a loud explosion, Miss Smith's pleas for mercy came to an abrupt halt.
It was Matthew who slapped her head so hard that her head exploded.
She was now dead beyond dead!
And that concluded their conversation.
Everyone who participated in the ambush of Natalie and Matthew tonight has been killed.
"Nat, are you alright?" Matthew turned around and asked.
He was becoming more and more satisfied with this girl.
If it were Natalie who had just been attacked by Miss Smith, she might not have been able to block it.
Fortunately, the girl was cautious enough to sense something was wrong and kept her distance from the enemy, refraining from launching a rash attack.
What Matthew feared most were those fools who have no ability but still want to force their way in to help!
The result would only be more trouble than good and may even cost someone's life.
"I'm fine... how about you?" Natalie asked in return.
Matthew smiled and said, "Do I look like I have any wounds on me?"
Actually, among the freshmen he just killed, several of them possessed strange abilities and managed to hit him a few times.
However, his powerful defenses rendered them all useless.
All Matthew could say was, 'A body of steel is truly amazing!!'
"It's good that you're alright." Natalie added, "We're about to leave the supernatural realm. Do you want to find some clothes to change into? Their clothes don't belong to the supernatural realm, so you should be able to bring them outside."
This girl had a strong heart. The corpses all over the ground only made her slightly furrow her brows. Unlike some timid girls who would scream and turn weak in the knees at the sight of a cockroach, she didn't do that.
"That makes sense!"
Matthew immediately began searching through the corpses of the freshmen students.
Finally, he found a leather jacket on an intact corpse.
A moment later, the two returned to the rooftop to wait for the mission to end.
Matthew laughed and said, "Natalie, those useless guys just now contributed almost 100 points to my mission progress. Now our combined mission progress should definitely exceed 1500, and we should be able to get an SSS-grade mission rating, right?"
Natalie said, "I don't know what the criteria are for an SSS-grade mission evaluation, but given our mission progress, our chances of obtaining it are very high."

"Yes!" Natalie nodded.
Matthew understood what Natalie meant. "You mean, her father will retaliate against us?"
Only about 40 freshmen came to ambush them tonight; more than half didn't.
Although the freshmen didn't come, they should know more or less about these people's plans.
Once they went back and told everyone, they would be able to guess that Natalie and Matthew probably killed more than forty freshmen who didn't come back.
"With the Supernatural Realm Covenant in place, we are still in the right and relatively safe. He certainly wouldn't dare to retaliate openly, unless he wants to become the enemy of all superhumans."
Natalie said, "However, we must be wary of the other side using some underhanded ways."
