The moment Daisy and Elyon were brought to where, I'm going to perform the ritual, I felt the air around us shifted in a way that made me tense. It felt as though the energy within the backyard inhaled sharply, preparing for something old, sacred, and dangerous. I stepped forward, my pure white gown smart on my body and i took my place at the center of the ritual circle carved into the earth. The symbols glowed faintly beneath my feet, pulsing like a second heartbeat as magic stirred restlessly in response to my presence.
Lucian stood, not far from me, strong and steady, offering silent support. My parents stood at the perimeter with the others, even the pack house omegas were outside to see the ritual. Each person watching with the kind of quiet reverence reserved for ancient rites. Even the breeze stilled, as if the world itself sensed that the threads of fate were about to be rewritten.
