Soon, the three of them arrived at the OB-GYN department and was asked to go in and see the obstetrician. They stared at each other wondering what could have been the urgency for them to even call Aunt Lin.
"Miss Chen Ruonan?" The obstetrician called in a solemn tone immediately she entered her office as they were all (Aunt Lin Ruonan and Meiling) still standing waiting.
"Yes! That's me." Ruonan confirmed with a confused expression on her face wondering what went wrong.
After confirming the name, the obstetrician suddenly went down on her knees and bowed in front of them.
"Doctor? What is going on? You don't need to do this, whatever has happened we can always resolve it." Aunt Lin tried to convince the obstetrician to stand on her feet, but she remained adamant.
"Please let me remain like this, I owe you an apology– I have— done wrong to your family and I deserve to be punished." The obstetrician pleaded in a loud voice while still on her knees trembling.
The three standing were confused wondering what the obstetrician might have done wrong.
"Please explain your words clearly, we are very confused here, it will be best if you make proper clarification." Meiling's brows furrowed as she speaks in a frown.
"I — I- I– I– accidentally— Inseminated miss Chen Ruonan instead of another person. Please forgive me Ma'am." The obstetrician pleading and trembling with fear in her voice.
Ruonan heard a ringing sound in her ears before she could process what she heard from the obstetrician same with Aunt Lin and Meiling. They all have the same expression, looking dumbfounded while standing.
"You— You– Repeat what you said!" Aunt Lin screamed at the obstetrician causing her to shake even more.
Ruonan couldn't say anything and almost fell on the ground, but her quickly holds her tight.
"Ma– madam, please calm down, I'm sure we can sort this out."
"I should calm down?"
"Because of you— Because of you my niece got pregnant! What are you going to do about that! Huh?" Aunt Lin screamed.
"She— she's– She's Pregnant?" The obstetrician widened her eyes feeling as if thunder is about to strike her from above. This is a grave crime that puts her license at stake if known to the public. She can also be sued millions of dollars for that so not only License is at stake, but her career will also automatically be over.
"Please forgive me! Please forgive me!" The obstetrician pleading continuously but Aunt Lin wasn't having it, meanwhile tears had began flowing Ruonan's cheeks.
She was still thinking about how to convince Wang Wei to let her get a divorce so she could continue her studies, and now she's pregnant. How is she going to continue her studies like that plus she doesn't even know what he would do to her if he's been told that she got pregnant with another man's child.
All these questions were still going on in her head when someone came into the office.
"Where's that b*tch! Get out of my way before I get you arrested!" Chen Linxi screamed in her tiny voice at the nurses by the door trying to prevent her from going in.
"Which of you is the b*tch that stole the donor?" Chen Linxi screamed as her eyes scanned the office.
"Miss Chen, please ca- calm down. All of these can be sorted out." The obstetrician still on her knees pleading before Linxi landed a hot slap on her cheeks.
"Shut up that mouth of yours before I lock it up for you! I trusted you with the donor and you gave it out like it was nothing. Where the hell I'm I supposed to get another one!" Linxi screamed causing the obstetrician to tremble.
With the situation right now, Aunt Lin can only understand that the donor was meant for Chen Linxi but was accidentally given to Ruonan and how will the pregnancy issue be solved? Aunt Lin thought in her mind.
Meiling also remembered the last time they came, the receptionist called 'miss Chen' and it's all just starting to make sense. Meanwhile, Chen Ruonan is currently in her own world thinking about the things Wang Wei would do and her possibilities of not been able to study for the rest of her life.
"I believe I'm not talking to deaf humans." Linxi moved closer towards Aunt Lin in a frown.
"Then I guess you should turn towards the one who created the mess instead of blaming the wrong person." Meiling spoke up and protected her friend.
"Miss— Chen Linxi, why not– let us— inform Mr Liu, so we can– sort this–." The obstetrician suggested still on her knees.
"No!" Linxi screamed at the doctor immediately she mentioned informing Mr Liu.
"We can't let him know about this! Not yet." Linxi whispered.
"You don't need to whisper; since it's not a secret anymore." A thick male voice sounding from the door.
"Mr— Liu?" The obstetrician muttered in tears.
Liu Xingyan the donor of the sperm has finally arrived, but someone is burning deep inside because the truth has been revealed.
"Xi- Xingyan? Wh-what brings you here?" Linxi stuttered with her eyes widened in shock.
Liu Xingyan walks in with his secretary behind him, the atmosphere in the office changed more like the god of war was amongst them. Aunt Lin and Meiling stood there watching and wondering who the young man is that made the angry Chen Linxi to keep quiet.
"Miss Chen, isn't it?" Liu Xingyan asked facing Linxi. "I wasn't aware you were so invested in my affairs for you to go this far, but whatever game you're playing at, I'm not interested."
"Xingyan– I just wanted us to have some connection—, since your mother said we will be getting married soon-."
"Having a child would bring us closer to each other." Linxi smirked inwardly waiting for Liu Xingyan to reply but she got something else.
"Save the sentiments, miss Chen. It will be best if you take your leave right now." Liu Xingyan's secretary Yanran instructed with his hand gestured towards the door.
"You! How dare you?" Linxi screamed at Yanran.
"Xingyan! What do you mean by this? How can you treat me this way!" Linxi screamed loudly but all she got was silence and cold eyes staring at her.
"You'll regret this!" Linxi strode out of the office in anger while frowning.
