Chapter 299 - Chapter 299

"Idiot! Thought numbers could save you? Today, Xiaoye's coming for you personally!"

Ryuuto didn't hesitate. He traced rapid hand signs, automatically replenishing his life potions as his chakra surged outward like a tsunami, distorting the air in unstoppable waves.

Shadow Clone Technique!

Over fifty identical Ryuutos erupted into the sky with a roar, all of them streaking toward Gillian and his Mutant horde. In his hand, Ryuuto gripped the beheading knife, aiming to finish this pest himself.

"Today… I'm sending you straight to hell, personally!"

Gillian's face twisted into a mask of rage. Ridiculed by a single man? He almost convulsed with fury. He raised his laser high, firing frantically. Dozens of scorching beams shot toward Ryuuto in a deadly hail.

Reality, however, was cruel.

The lasers, capable of vaporizing helicopters and tanks, barely threatened him.

"Hehe, Gillian… still playing with your little toys? Cute."

Ryuuto didn't even bother activating high-speed movement. With sheer agility and reflexes, he danced through the mid-air barrage effortlessly, dodging every shot. Not a single hit grazed him.

"Your toys are for children. They can't touch me!"

Gillian's face turned red, snarling, yet frustration warped his aim. Even as he tried, every laser missed, clanging uselessly against the air around Ryuuto.

With a single, confident breath, Ryuuto raised his beheading knife.

"Take me a knife!"

The Mutants around him froze, mouths agape, as the blade sliced through lasers mid-air like fireworks blooming in the night. Sparks rained down, dazzling and terrifying at once. And that was only the beginning. Ryuuto swung the knife in a storm of shadows, each slash shattering any attack that came near.

Gillian's jaw dropped. Even his own laser gun slipped from his grip, clattering uselessly to the ground.

"Alright… now it's my turn to attack! Gillian, you think you can shoot? Let's see how you handle my cut!"

Suspended like a god of war, Ryuuto's knife pointed straight at Gillian, a smug smile twitching at his lips.

"Don't worry—I won't let you die that easily."

"Die by yourself, freak! I'm done playing games with you!" Gillian clutched his head, unable to meet Ryuuto's eyes, feeling the terrifying weight of the blade lingering over him.

"Move it! If you can't deal with him, you all go straight to hell!" Gillian bellowed to his Mutants.

But even their combined might wasn't enough. They charged, ruthless and roaring, determined to crush the threat in one fell swoop.

"Brothers! Fight to the death! Victory is ours!"

The soldiers in special uniforms, once hesitant, found courage in the chaos, screaming battle cries as the battlefield erupted into full-scale war.

Ryuuto, swinging his beheading knife like he was slicing vegetables, cut down Mutants with precision, blood splattering with each strike. In the mayhem, Gillian abandoned caution and ran, desperate to escape.

But a well-aimed web shot pinned him to the ground, halting his escape.

"It's you again? Where's my Extremis?!"

He flailed, grabbing dirt and throwing it at Gwen, who casually perched atop the flyover beam, her cape fluttering as she surveyed him with disdain.

"Do you really need me to say it? It's all destroyed!" Gwen's voice cut through the air like a blade.

"Gillian, your conspiracy's fully exposed! Surrender now and save yourself the humiliation!"

"Impossible! My plan… it was flawless! You can't—You'll never destroy my Extremis!"

Kneeling in defeat, Gillian's face drained of color, eyes dull, trembling violently. Yet even now, he refused to accept that the product of his years of work had crumbled in an instant.

Ryuuto stood behind him, high-speed movement bringing him into position effortlessly, a storm of shadow and steel. The hunter had become the inevitable end.
