Boom!
Rumble!
The ground collapsed as a massive area of earth was dug up. The world was then thrown towards a hill at full speed, crashing into it with such force that the cliff collapsed on itself.
Toph panted from tiredness as she sensed the ground under her feet vibrating from the rumbles. Fine sheet of sweat covered her forehead; her stamina drained.
Letting out a massive sigh of relief, Toph turned around and sat on a boulder, letting the fine breeze cool her heated body down and to rest so her stamina could be regained.
"That girl who beat me was the avatar... She said she wanted me to teach her how to earthbend?" Toph muttered as she remembered her defeat two days ago.
Toph couldn't help but want to go find her to do just that. Toph hated being locked up inside a room all day by her parents, who kept pitying her because of her defects.
She wanted to go out and have fun like everyone else. Thanks to her seismic sense, she could do so, but only when her parents weren't paying attention to her.
Even training has to be done in secret while no one is paying attention to her. Today, her parents are on a business trip, and she sneaked out to train.
"Maybe I should find her? I do wanna go and fight the fire lord, see if I can beat his ass into the ground," Toph muttered with a smirk as excitement shot through her body at the thought.
[The Gang.]
Norrak jumped down from the air, double-kneed, dropping onto a fire soldier. The soldier's eyes opened wide, his mouth releasing a silent scream before he went still.
Katara dashed out from behind him, striking another soldier rushing at Norrak in the stomach. A Chi shockwave shook the internal organs of the soldier, and the guy instantly collapsed onto the ground.
Katara had managed to use her Chi to send it into the bodies of others upon contact. Though this is actually a fatal technique due to her loss of control after it's inside the body.
It's usually meant for crippling or killing, but she managed to reduce the effect by decreasing the condensed straight line of Chi into a wider, fan-shaped area inside the body.
A bit away from the two, Ty Lee smirked as she hit the back and the arms of a fire soldier, paralysing him in the process for a temporary time. She managed to block the Chi inside the body, cutting off movements.
"R-Run! It's the avatar!" The remaining soldiers turned around in panic and fear, sweating as they tried to run away from the area. They were just the average soldier.
They would rather be cowerds than fight the avatar. Not to mention, they did not seem to be playing around. The dozen soldiers on the ground proved it.
"Not on my watch!"
Katara suddenly dashed forward and pulled her arms back towards her chest repeatedly. The air around the area stirred, and a localised tornado appeared.
The soldiers who were running froze, the force of the pull behind them instantly pulling them towards Katara. Suddenly, Katara grinned as a blue glow appeared around her.
"Combination technique: Hail Storm!"
The tornado was suddenly filled with ice pellets the size of nails. They spun around the air, striking anything and everything in their proximity as if they were heat-seeking missiles.
The soldiers cried in pain, the pellets hitting them with such force that their bodies started spinning and being thrown around constantly in the air.
Bruises the size of fists appeared, and then they fell to the ground heavily as Katara stopped the technique. Norrak looked at it with a smile, seeing his teachings in action made him proud.
"That was cool as hell! Though I don't think you can use this in a fight against an actual opponent," Ty Lee said with an awed look as she walked to Katara.
"Well, it's more of an area control technique instead of an attacking one. I can use other techniques while this one is going," Katara said with a smile, the air calming down under her control.
Norrak crouched down and flipped a soldier on his chest onto his back. He chuckled teasingly as he created a small water tentacle. The tentacle entered the soldier's nose and started moving inside.
"Ugh..."
The soldier, who was pretending to be unconscious, opened his eyes wide, sneezing from the tickling. Norrak dodged with a smile while levitating the soldier.
"Is there any more Fire Nation bases around the outskirts of Gaoling and the villages?" Norrak asked the soldier, who suddenly groaned as the blood in his body started to move irregularly.
"In a minute, the pressure inside your brain will increase, causing your optic nerves to shut down, then your sensory nerves, and then brain death," Norrak explained with a calm tone, causing the soldier to shiver in fear.
"N-No! This was the main base in this region! The other bases are far from here!" The soldier screamed in fear, and Norrak nodded before using bloodbending to knock the guy out.
For the past two days, they have been flying around, invading any Fire Nation base set up in the area or region. By using flight instead of Appa, they were much faster in travel.
"Well, now that we have taken down every base, are we finally going to look for that girl?" Ty Lee asked while taking out a snack from her pocket. Norrak nodded as he stood up.
Norrak lifted the bodies of the soldiers and levitated them into an iron cage, making sure to lock the cage with ice harder than metal.
"Yes, after that, we will begin moving towards the dragons, and Katara will be trained along the way," Norrak said before taking Ty Lee into his arms.
His body lifted from the ground, and Katara followed along as they flew off towards Gaoling. It didn't take long before they arrived inside the city, with Norrak using his Six Eyes to search for Toph.
[Toph...]
Toph walked away from her training area, sneaking into the city, or tried to as she suddenly heard a voice call out to her from the air. Her heart beat increased, getting ready to fight.
"Where are you, coward! Fight me on the ground if you dare!" Toph screamed as she looked around in caution. Norrak chuckled as he landed on the ground, causing Toph to look at him instantly.
Katara stepped forward, and Toph paused as she sensed the opponent she had lost to in the tournament. She crossed her arms, looking straight at Katara.
"So, did you come back after realising how awesome an earthbender I am? Because I know for a matter you did," Toph said with a smirk, causing Katara to nod her head.
"My name is Katara, and I need an earthbendign teacher. Will you teach me?" Katara asked with a bow, and Toph snorted as she laughed outloud, hands on her hips.
"Well, if you are begging me so graciously, I suppose I shall teach you, avatar!" Toph agreed.
