A few hours later, the two women arrived at an enormous luxury restaurant nestled in the heart of the city.
From how empty and quiet the place was, Lilian didn't need to be told that the entire establishment had been rented out. Just for them.
Of course she didn't expect less, but she planned to make an issue of that. That would be later, anyway. Another issue was currently at play.
"Hey, I've got you." Cassandra said softly as she pulled out a chair for Lilian. It was the chair beside the one at the top of the table.
Lilian rolled her eyes at that and walked past the chair to go sit on the one at the very top. The one she knew Cassandra had reserved for herself. It was like a default setting, one that even Lilian knew from way back.
In the Drayke's mansion, that seat was always for the heiress of the empire and her mother as her father was barely around for family meals- always away on one pack duty or business event.
