Later that evening, Lilian finally got back to her apartment after leaving Morgana's house, feeling exhausted...
And still very scared.
Her eyes darted around the surrounding, in desperate, fearful search of a particular woman whose mere presence commanded attention: Cassandra Drayke.
The woman she had erred.
"She had it coming! I haven't even done to her half of what she did to me... I mean, she ordered my execution. I died!" Lilian slammed back at whatever voice in her head that was silently, somehow blaming her.
Yet, even as she said that, something tugged at her heart, forcefully bringing up tiny flashes of the moments she had shared with Cassandra, her killer.
"No, I shouldn't be a fool. No matter what we have shared, Cassandra Drayke will never forgive me for being the mole that has been working against her." Lilian thought and shook her head sharply.
