Cassandra's eyes fluttered open to find someone hovering over her and her lips parted in shock.
She quickly sat up in panic.
Her wolf's senses were supposed to be active but she hadn't even smelt anything at all.
"Who are you...?" The question had already tumbled out of Cassandra's mouth before she blinked her eyes and confirmed it was indeed the person she thought she was seeing at first glance.
Rose Bennett... Her Rose?
It was indeed her mate, kneeling on the bed beside her, her head bent slightly forward as she had been watching Cassandra sleep.
She was wearing nothing but an oversized shirt that barely covered her thighs. The morning light streaming through the windows made her look almost ethereal- soft and warm and impossibly beautiful.
Cassandra's breath caught.
This had never happened before.
She was always the one seeking Rose out. Always the one showing up at her apartment unannounced and watching from rooftops.
So how was this possible?
