"The other Dunn girl is going to join her sister for the Lunar Gala," Emma said with a grim expression, gesturing for the maid to place a fresh cup of coffee on her son's desk.
She waited until the maid obediently arranged their coffee and snacks before offering the two of them a low bow and clearing the room.
"And how does that concern me?" Raiden frowned, carelessly tossing a sugar cube into his cup.
His mother frowned as well, fighting back the urge to splash that very cup into the young man's face. "She is an unmated debutante," she said calmly, yet with a tinge of ice in her tone. "Her father is not sending her to find a mate – he is parading her in front of the potential mating candidates. With her reputation soaring, I'm pretty sure many families would get interested in offering their sons to her."
"Power to them," Raiden scowled, swallowing a chocolate candy like a pill. "Once again, what do I have to do with all that?"
