"Goddess, Miss Arielle!" Marine exclaimed as she dropped the price tag of a dress as if it were on fire. "Have you seen the prices for these things? All my organs don't cost this much!"
"Shh!" I pressed my finger over my lips, urging her to keep quiet. I did not mind her funny comments, but I knew how stuck-up all the high-society people were – I did not want the store owners to kick my maid out and embarrass her.
She's not wrong, though, I sighed to myself, turning over yet another price tag with a look of derision in my eyes. No wonder Angela listed only these brands – with the allowance I've received, all I can afford from here is a silk scarf.
"What are we going to do, Miss Arielle?" Marine lowered her voice to a light whisper. "Should we just leave?"
"No," I replied firmly. "We are going to buy a dress here."
