"Are there other people on this island?" Anna looked around, confused.
"Biggy, Secondy, stay on the ship. We'll go in and check it out." said Leo, not worried at all. From the look of the raft, there were probably only three or four people.
Or they might have already drowned, and the broken raft was washed to the island by the sea.
The group moved cautiously into the island.
The island was full of weeds, and sometimes there were bird calls. No strange things were found.
But after moving a little further, Leo signaled the girls to stop. A danger warning appeared.
He raised his wrist, the hidden arrow shot out, a small arrow flew toward the bushes.
Bang!
A light sound, the arrow was blocked, and then a person ran out. He held a long sword, its blade shining coldly, and charged at Leo.
He thought it was a wild animal, but it was actually a person.
"You're asking to die!" Lilia shouted, not waiting for Leo to stop her, she drew her sword and fought back.
A few strong hits, the two of them fought more than ten times in a second, both of them equal.
Leo was surprised. When he saw the attacker, it was also a girl, and her skills were not worse than Lilia's.
"Stop, Cynthia!" A soft voice called out, and another girl came out from the bushes.
The woman named Cynthia quickly stepped back, standing in front of the girl, her eyes full of suspicion as she stared at Leo's group.
She was a little surprised. A human with four pretty girls, two elves, a barbarian, and even a fishman with horns.
Leo also looked at the two girls with interest.
The female warrior wore tight leather armor, with some dried blood on it. Her long hair flowed, and she looked strong and brave.
When Leo looked at the girl, he was immediately impressed. She wore a light and elegant dress, with long purple hair like a waterfall, a face so beautiful it could make people fall in love. She was no worse than the girls.
But she had a quality that the girls didn't—noble, elegant, with a ruler-like air in her eyes, making people want to bow.
"Hey, we're nobles who got lost on this island. We don't mean any harm." the woman said, her voice light and soft. "My name is Elyse, and this is my guard, Cynthia."
"Leo." Leo came back to reality and introduced himself, still keeping his guard up.
This woman named Elyse was definitely not an ordinary noble, especially her guard, who was just as strong as Lilia.
He knew how strong Lilia was. She could easily kill and escape even if she was surrounded by ten strong soldiers.
Elyse smiled and nodded to the group, then looked at the big ship on the shore and said, "Can you take us to Kano Kingdom? I can give you a good reward."
"Kano Kingdom?" Leo was confused, and looked at Lilia.
He had heard of that kingdom, but didn't know much about it.
Lilia whispered, "Kano Kingdom is next to Black Dragon Kingdom. It's also a big country. We're not going that way to Giant Whale Island."
She looked at the two girls, then whispered again, "Be careful. These two women aren't normal. They're not just nobles."
Leo understood and said, "Sorry, we have other things to do. We're not going your way."
When she heard that, Cynthia's eyes showed clear anger. She wanted to fight for the ship, but when she saw Lilia, she finally gave up.
Elyse continued, "Then can you take us away from here? Our raft was broken by the sea. Don't worry, once we get to another island or the mainland, we'll leave."
Leo could feel these two women had gotten into a big mess. He didn't want to get involved, and was about to refuse when Anna suddenly spoke up without hesitation.
"You can travel with us, but you have to pay. Ten gold coins a day." She counted on her fingers, saying it like it was nothing.
Cynthia was angry and was about to speak, but Elyse stopped her, "Oh, such a cute little sister, taking us to another continent will cost ten gold coins a day, no problem."
"Hey, I'm not little." Anna frowned, lifting her head and puffing out her chest.
Leo glared at her. It was too late to refuse now.
"Sir!" Biggy shouted from the deck, "There's a big ship on the sea. It seems to be werewolf raiders."
"Enemy?" Anna's eyes lit up. She ran toward the big ship and said, "Don't fight. I'll handle it."
The others ran toward the ship quickly.
Leo stayed a bit behind, looking at the two women.
Cynthia looked clearly nervous, but Elyse remained calm and collected.
These werewolves weren't after him—they were after the two women.
He had his answer and didn't ask. He quickly climbed onto the ship.
Leo's strength now was the Smoothbore cannon. He had to destroy the werewolves before they got close, or he would be no match for them in hand-to-hand combat.
The Smoothbore cannon turned, aiming at the three big ships coming out of the fog. Wolf banners waved on their masts, and excited howls echoed through the air.
"There's a big ship!"
"That woman must have escaped here. Kill everyone except her!"
The shouts came.
Elyse also arrived on the ship and saw Barnett and Solomon, looking a bit surprised.
Then she apologized, "Mr. Leo, these enemies are strong. Let's get the ship moving quickly."
"No need." Anna held a torch, looking excited. "Leo, can we fire now?"
Leo ignored her and looked at Barnett.
Barnett immediately said, "Sir, the cannonballs are loaded. The enemies are in range."
"Fire." Leo said coldly, pulling Ava back a step.
Anna didn't hesitate. She lit five fuses, then ran away quickly.
Elyse didn't understand and watched the burning fuses on the big iron columns.
Crack!
Suddenly, a loud explosion, the ship trembled, fire spewed, and a huge cannonball shot out.
Crash!
On the sea, the first ship was hit directly, torn open by the cannonball.
"Your highness, be careful!" Cynthia screamed, standing in front of Elyse and backing away, watching the Smoothbore cannon in fear.
Bang!
Another explosion, the big ship rocked violently.
Several cannonballs whistled through the air, and the three ships, weak and fragile, were torn apart like paper, slowly sinking into the sea.
The werewolves on the ship screamed in terror and were swallowed by the sea.
"Strong!" Elyse was shocked, her beautiful eyes sparkling with excitement. She looked at the dwarf beside her, her eyes moving slightly.
Leo saw her reaction and was even more certain that this woman was no ordinary person.
Cunning and deep!
Even if they are nobles, they would be scared by the power of Smoothbore cannon. But this woman was shocked, but she didn't show it.
He could feel that this woman was thinking about the Smoothbore cannon and the two dwarves.
"Biggy, Secondy. Load the cannon, again." Anna said excitedly.
Leo stepped forward and took the torch from her. He was angry and said, "Three big ships have already sunk. No need to waste gunpowder."
"Hmph, really weak." Anna said in a low voice, still not satisfied.
Leo ignored her and turned to Biggy and Secondy. He ordered, "Raise the sails, go forward, try to catch some alive."
"Yes sir." They immediately raised the sails.
Beside them, Elyse and Cynthia looked worried and their expressions became tense.
These werewolves were after them. They knew their real identities, but the two of them didn't want to be discovered.
Elyse quickly said, "Lord Leo, the enemies are already gone. No need to waste time. We should leave quickly before more enemies come."
"There are more enemies?" Anna said excitedly, rubbing her hands together.
Leo ignored her. The big ship cut through the waves and quickly reached the place where the three sunken ships were.
The mist moved. Besides floating werewolf corpses, the surviving werewolves had already disappeared.
This made Elyse and the other girl feel a little relieved.
Leo sighed and looked at the two girls, saying unhappily, "Elyse, if you want to take my ship, at least tell me why these werewolves are chasing you."
"Kid, watch your attitude!" Cynthia coldly stared at him, her tone not friendly.
"Cynthia, don't be rude." Elyse scolded her, then looked at Leo and smiled apologetically before speaking. "To be honest, these werewolves are from the Black Dragon Kingdom. I accidentally found out that the Black Dragon Kingdom is going to attack the Kano Kingdom. I hurried to deliver the message, but my location was exposed. I got chased by these werewolves!"
Elyse said slowly.
Leo didn't believe her completely, but the news that the Black Dragon Kingdom wanted to attack the Kano Kingdom was probably true.
He had already heard this from a wolf's mouth before on Flame Island.
