Leo knew that no matter if Elyse was telling the truth or not, he had already gotten into trouble with the Black Dragon Kingdom.
These two women on the ship were a big problem.
He looked at Elyse and said coldly, "I'll take you to the nearest island or land as soon as possible. After that, we have no connection."
Cynthia glared at Leo, her expression bad.
Elyse quickly promised, "Don't worry, I promise I won't cause you any trouble."
Leo laughed coldly. Now the trouble had already come.
He ignored the two women and turned to walk into the ship's cabin. He found Barnett and Solomon and told them to be careful with Elyse.
Leo could feel that this woman was after the Smoothbore cannon.
The Smoothbore cannon was not the most powerful weapon he had, but if it fell into the hands of an ambitious person, it would bring a disaster.
The big ship returned to the island again. Leo and the others carefully checked it out, but there was nothing useful. There were even few large animals. Only a lot of sea turtles on the shore.
The group collected a lot of fresh water and set sail again toward Giant Whale Island.
...
"Sir, you were right. That woman named Elyse wanted to recruit me and Solomon." In the ship's cabin, Barnett reported carefully, his tone mocking, "This woman doesn't know these powerful weapon designs came from you, Sir."
"Oh, so that woman was trying to buy me over. That's why she kept telling me how many wines there were in Kano City. I almost got tempted." Solomon said, finally realizing it, and swallowed hard.
"Relax, there will be plenty of wine later," Leo said, not knowing what to say. He knew dwarves loved alcohol, and the contract had clearly stated that wine must be provided for them.
It looked like he needed to find the materials as soon as possible and start making the wine.
Solomon scratched his head awkwardly and didn't say anything more.
Leo said again, "Don't let those two women come in here. Especially not the blueprints or the gunpowder formulas. They can't be leaked."
Barnett nodded and promised, "Don't worry, Sir. We know what's important. But Anna has been getting close to them lately."
When Anna was mentioned, Leo felt a headache.
That girl was naive and wild. It was easy to buy her, but she didn't know any secrets.
To be safe, they had to get rid of those two women as soon as possible.
"You two take a break for two days. Don't study any secret weapons anymore," Leo warned them, not wanting the blueprints to be leaked. Then he left the cabin.
Barnett and Solomon immediately looked disappointed.
Studying the blueprints and making new strange devices was their biggest joy. Now that joy was taken away.
All because of those two women with bad intentions...
Both of them were angry in their hearts.
"Are you saying that this powerful Skyfire cannon was made by Lord Leo?"
As Leo left the cabin, he heard Elyse's surprised voice.
Anna was excitedly showing off the Smoothbore cannon's achievements. She said it had destroyed hundreds of werewolf pirate ships, scared off a dragon, and threatened the Glan Empire...
Leo was speechless.
Elyse covered her mouth with her hand, laughing softly. She ran her hand over the huge Smoothbore cannon, trying to hide her love for it.
She naturally knew that Anna was lying, but she had already seen the power of the Smoothbore cannon. If there were dozens, even hundreds of these weapons, they could really destroy a kingdom, maybe even an empire...
She had to get this technology, even if it meant using some very dirty methods.
The empire was a huge beast. It was nothing like a kingdom.
Elyse's long dress swayed in the wind as she looked out at the vast sea. Her heart was full of courage.
Leo looked at the woman's back and suddenly felt like he wanted to bow down and worship her.
He frowned and said, "Anna, you're talking nonsense again."
"Ah?" Anna finally noticed Leo behind her. She felt guilty and moved to stand next to Elyse, making a silly face at him.
Elyse smiled and said, "Lord Leo, you really surprised me. Where are you from?"
She clearly wanted to recruit him.
Leo pointed at the pirate flag on the mast, which was just a mess of random drawings, and said calmly, "I'm just a pirate who's lost at sea."
"Lord Leo, such a great talent as yours deserves more than just being a pirate. Have you ever thought about getting a title? With your ability, even a Viscount would be too low. An Earl with a fiefdom wouldn't be a problem at all."
"Oh?" Leo did have that idea, but he didn't know if the woman was just making up stories for him or if she was serious.
He asked suspiciously, "Do you really have that power?"
Cynthia beside him raised her eyebrows and glared at Leo.
Elyse smiled, "Lord Leo, come back with me to Kano Kingdom. I promise the king will make you an Earl with a fiefdom."
"No way!" Leo hadn't even spoken yet, and Anna quickly said, "This guy is the captain of my Elf Pirate Gang. He's going to adventure with me on the sea!"
"Anna, you're coming too. I can find you all kinds of cool stuff and let you play as much as you want," Elyse said, smiling and ruffling Girlie's head.
Anna frowned and pulled away, shaking her head. "I don't want to. Humans are all bad, especially those stuck-up nobles. But Elyse姐姐 and the stingy Leo are exceptions."
"Haha. Girlie, not all humans are bad," Elyse laughed softly.
Leo, however, had a deadpan face. He didn't want to deal with the girls anymore and turned to walk back to the cabin.
Anna was pretty thick-headed, but she knew what was important. She didn't tell them some things.
Like Flame Island, and her identity as an elf princess.
...
After drifting at sea for four more days, they found a small island with human activity.
Leo was happy. At last, he could get away from Elyse.
This island was also a transit point, busy and peaceful.
Many merchant caravans and pirates came here to rest and resupply.
Leo and his group bought a lot of daily supplies for the sea and prepared to set sail again.
"Lord Leo, I've been waiting for you," Elyse said, stepping up on the deck and greeting him warmly.
Leo frowned and asked, "Miss Elyse, are you saying goodbye to us?"
"No, I want to go with you to Giant Whale Island and see for myself." Elyse smiled. She had already heard from Anna that Leo was going to Giant Whale Island to save the Minotaurs enslaved by the Black Dragon Kingdom.
Leo couldn't help but glare at Anna, who was playing with a toy in her hand. He said, "No. This trip is too dangerous. I've already checked. There's a merchant group going to Kano Kingdom. We should part ways here."
Elyse didn't budge. She said, "I think we can help. You've seen Cynthia's strength."
Cynthia, standing beside her, crossed her arms and raised her head proudly.
At that moment, a loud noise came from the shore. Several laborers carried large amounts of goods and came onto their ship.
Elyse quickly said, "I've been a bother these past days. This is a small gift. Wine, various fabrics, and nice jewelry. I don't know what you like, so I had a long robe made for you."
Leo hadn't even moved, and Anna had already rushed to the pile of delicate goods.
The dwarves and the other women also showed some interest.
Leo sighed and let the woman continue to follow them.
The big ship set sail again, diving into the mist.
With Marina leading the way, their destination this time was Giant Whale Island.
"Did you find anything?" In the cabin, Leo asked Lilia.
He came to the island not just to buy goods, but also to find out Elyse's real identity.
This small island had all kinds of people and good information.
Lilia sat half on the table with her hips, playing with a feather pen. She said, "Leo, I did find an important piece of information. The princess of Kano Kingdom is also named Elyse."
"What?" Leo gasped, surprised. "You mean this Elyse is the princess of Kano Kingdom?"
Lilia nodded. "No mistake. Otherwise, that woman's guards wouldn't be so strong. A month and a half ago, the princess of Kano Kingdom visited the Black Dragon Kingdom and then disappeared. Her whereabouts also match."
"Little wonder this woman was so confident about making me an Earl." Leo thought about how Elyse had acted all the way. It seemed she really did have that power.
"Hey, you're one of my Elves," Lilia said angrily.
Leo looked at her curvy body and beautiful face and teased, "If you marry me, I'll reluctantly join your Elves."
"Die!" Lilia turned red in the face and threw the pen away, running away.
At the door, she stopped and said, "There's another thing. Elyse sent a pigeon message. I didn't get close enough to follow, but I heard something about Giant Whale Island and attacking the Black Dragon Kingdom."
