Chapter 35 - Chapter 35 The Principle of Supreme Arts

At the Black Hawk special forces command base, Liu Yianfei sat alone in his office. His gaze stared vacantly at an old photo standing on the desk. It was a picture of a young woman whose eyes were filled with immense love while looking at the daughter in her embrace.

"Cough, cough..."

Not knowing how much time had passed, but when the air began changing, his body showed symptoms and deteriorated rapidly.

Liu Yianfei took medicine from the drawer. It was white pills in a glazed porcelain bottle. Each pill packed densely with Tier 4 elixir pressure. And when one pill was flicked into his mouth, after a while his injury symptoms lessened.

The young man sighed. He looked at the pills remaining in the bottle—less than ten. These medicines were the work of Grandmaster Lu Qing, who now no one knew which part of the world he'd gone to.

At that moment, Jin Ling opened the door entering with an excited expression until even Liu Yianfei was surprised because he'd never seen this subordinate rush like this before.

"General, this is bad!"

"What happened?"

The young man sipped tea lightly to help warm his body. But Jin Ling's next sentence made even a being like Liu Yianfei almost spit tea from his mouth.

"There's a report that Grandmaster Han Junpo brought people to pick a fight with Grandmaster Bai at the residence..."

"Why is this like gangsters fighting?" Liu Yianfei sighed and held his temples. Why would this era's supreme being go pick a fight with another supreme being at their house like bringing gangs to brawl?

"Grandmaster Han Junpo's side brought Martial Master-level cultivators under his command. That includes Han Longyi."

"That young master who's 9th-stage Martial Master?"

"Yes..."

Jin Ling confirmed. This matter seemed to be major enough to be a regional-level problem. One Grandmaster's combat power was like a small army. If both fought, it could change that area into a battlefield extremely dangerous to ordinary people.

"Contact the Grand Marshal first. Close off the area in a one-kilometer radius completely. Call back Black Hawk unit members in the city. We'll go out to execute containment operations."

Liu Yianfei stood up while ordering decisively. This matter needed good preparation to prevent serious mistakes.

"Yes!"

Jin Ling received orders. And just a few seconds later, chaos arose throughout the Black Hawk unit immediately...

After giving orders, Liu Yianfei himself rushed toward the incident site. Grandmaster-level cultivator qi surged throughout the military. Liu Yianfei's body jumped stepping on air and charged toward the target direction at maximum speed.

Not long after, Liu Yianfei could see the seaside. He reduced speed because he felt abnormality occurring.

Wasn't it too quiet?

Grandmasters fighting couldn't be this calm.

And it was a sudden clash. Even the well-prepared duel between Eastern King Ma Fufeng and Sword Saint Zheng Renyi still destroyed the surrounding area in strips.

Liu Yianfei noticed that beside Bai Fanxian's house, one group of people gathered. He didn't hesitate to charge over.

"What happened?"

Liu Yianfei looked at that group confusedly. Because they weren't even cultivators. But seeing him and only being slightly surprised meant they must know something about the martial world.

And the outfits they wore were strange.

This looked like...

...construction worker outfits?

No wonder Liu Yianfei thought that way. Because each of them wore work uniforms that were both compact and moved conveniently. Also had eye-piercing orange outer vests and safety helmets worn by everyone completely equipped.

Not far from that point, he found a familiar person. It was Huang Zihan who sensed his presence and quickly came over.

"General? Hello."

"Hello, Butler Huang." Liu Yianfei looked at Huang Zihan's condition with surprise. His Heaven Sense could sense qi far stronger than the last time they met. But the old man's body showed traces of fighting that should have just occurred not long ago.

"Does General have any business?" After Uncle Huang learned this General's story, he quite sympathized. So he behaved well.

"There's a report that Grandmaster Han came here." Liu Yianfei turned to survey around.

"Or was the report mistaken?"

Uncle Huang understood immediately. He laughed lightly with implication. "Grandmaster Han truly came here."

"But Grandmaster Bai already dealt with him and he went back."

Inside the house, Bai Fanxian was quite troubled. Because since returning, when Tang Yeye who was training and digesting today's elixir without knowing the circumstances learned the truth, the little girl just kept crying while going to hug Hui'er tightly and wouldn't let go.

Until even Hui'er herself could only smile dryly not knowing what to do either.

"Yeye, let go of big sister first?"

Hui'er tried to pry Tang Yeye's sticky hands from behind. But Tang Yeye refused. She raised her face full of tears to look. Her eyes were red. At eye corners still appeared small teardrops flowing out continuously.

"Big sister Hui'er... really can't cultivate anymore?"

Tang Yeye asked with sorrowful tone.

And it was Bai Fanxian who answered that question for both little girls.

"It's still not certain... Perhaps it might need more time to find the cause."

The beautiful young woman looked at the two girls hugging spherically with feelings she couldn't help but be affectionate.

"Then... then I won't train yet either. I'll wait to train together with big sister Hui'er." Tang Yeye shook her head back and forth. Bai Fanxian looked at these two children's relationship with surprise.

But Hui'er immediately frowned hearing that. She pried Tang Yeye's hands off successfully. Then stared at the little sister's large round eyes seriously.

"No. Yeye must continue cultivating."

"B-but big sister Hui'er..."

"My lady said she'll teach movement forms to big sister instead. Therefore big sister will become strong too. If Yeye doesn't work hard, big sister will leave you behind." Hui'er spoke with reason. She didn't want the little sister who'd just met not long ago but was extremely close to lose life opportunities because of her as the cause.

Tang Yeye stopped sobbing. The little girl turned to look at her lady who nodded lightly. Making her finally able to accept.

"Hic... then until, until big sister Hui'er becomes skilled, Yeye will protect big sister Hui'er herself!"

Both Hui'er and Bai Fanxian couldn't help but smile affectionately hearing this sentence. Tang Yeye's personality was like this. A child who when loving and trusting someone would love that person extremely. Also expressing emotions most honestly.

"Alright... therefore Yeye must become stronger to protect big sister, okay?"

The two little girls went back to hugging spherically again. Today's chaotic events made the house's mistress begin having some thoughts arise in her head.

The next morning, after yesterday Uncle Huang came to report that General Liu Yianfei stopped by briefly then left without anything special, Bai Fanxian stood at the front yard that yesterday was helped repaired by the company the Tang Clan hired until it returned to normal already.

She turned to look at Hui'er whose eyes sparkled. She knew this child woke up very early and sat waiting at the front door with excitement.

Because today was the first day she'd teach "Supreme Fist Arts" to Hui'er.

Uncle Huang himself also watched from the side with interest. Except Tang Yeye who was separated to train qi at the beach. Now everyone in the house gathered here completely.

In truth, this technique wasn't hers.

Bai Fanxian who was the supreme being of that era at just age 25—would she have free time to create movement and combat techniques?

Just she spent time on concocting elixirs, testing elixirs, and cultivating already nearly consumed all her life's time each day.

This "Supreme Fist Arts" technique was one she received as compensation for helping treat one lofty being. Because he had no successor, he gladly gave it to Bai Fanxian.

That lofty being was called "One Fist Above Gods."

Because just one of his movements could subjugate Transcendent-level cultivators, or what some called divine level.

Their stories were sometimes retold as legends. Western and Eastern god legends all had foundations from Transcendent (divine) level beings in old eras.

One Fist Above Gods was a being incomparably above people at the same level.

He went challenging Transcendent-level beings one after another. And built fame by defeating them with just a few movement forms.

And despite being that strong, he lost to a girl who at that time wasn't yet twenty years old. And it was an overwhelming defeat.

That made both begin associating as companions of different ages. Bai Fanxian who helped treat the old man's injuries—One Fist Above Gods thus didn't mind teaching his fist arts to Bai Fanxian.

Perhaps because at that time he just wanted to know—if the girl who defeated him received the technique praised as "the ultimate of movement form arts," how strong would she become?

And because of this very action of his, "The Semi-Immortal Being" was born. Bai Fanxian who was at the peak of Transcendent level became incomparably strong. Some principles of Supreme Fist Arts technique made her able to reach levels no one had ever reached.

"Huang Zihan, come here."

Bai Fanxian turned to call the old butler. He quickly came over immediately with surprise.

"Attack with your maximum power."

Bai Fanxian merely stood still and waved her hand. Huang Zihan understood she'd have him be a practice partner for Hui'er to watch.

The old man began circulating qi. He gathered qi to both fists until like flames burning on hands. He looked at the young lady intently. Because though he couldn't sense her qi, her strength was truly real for certain.

"I won't use qi."

Bai Fanxian didn't take a stance. She merely waited patiently for Huang Zihan to attack.

"I'll start now."

Uncle Huang gave signal. His body charged at Bai Fanxian with speed like a bullet. After being with Bai Fanxian just a few weeks, his power foundation rose like a rocket. His fist raised and crashed straight in.

"Eh?"

Uncle Huang looked at what happened bewildered.

Because in just a blink he didn't notice, his body had already bounced to pile in the back!

The 5th-stage Martial Master's eyes couldn't see even a bit of Bai Fanxian's movement!

"Supreme is the essential meaning. You must cut away all unnecessary movements."

Bai Fanxian turned to Hui'er and explained.

"Every movement must have meaning. Transferring power and weight is the essence of every action. Starting to move the body just a small part must affect tremendous power. Not only understand your own body, but understand the opponent's body."

"The principle of Supreme is only that much. Because it's the ultimate truth. If you understand Supreme, only Supreme likewise can fight you with movement forms."

"Whether you'll understand... depends entirely on you, Hui'er..."
