Evan Lee's —POV
I sit on the couch calmly, the way I always do whenever there's a family meeting.
Except it's never really a family meeting—
It's a meeting held especially for Evan Lee's scolding.
I rub my temple.
I don't know what new thing Dad has dragged in tonight… which lecture he's ready to throw at me now.
Eva suddenly drops beside me. I flinch—not realizing when she even entered. She grabs my cheeks and squishes them.
"Brother, where are you? Zoned out again," she says, pouting.
"Nothing," I reply quietly. "Just wondering why Dad called me here this time."
Eva sighs dramatically. "Come on, brother. You and Dad always argue. Can't you two just be… sweet? Like a normal father and son?"
I stare at her. "Sweet? Eva, I don't think Dad even knows that kind of word."
I pat her head. "And lately you're acting like an old aunty."
She gasps and crosses her arms. "Brother—who is an aunty? How dare you call me that! I'm going to complain to Mama!"
