Jiehong Liu approached him with measured steps taking his time as he walked up to him. Xiao Dan's impatience rose. Although this man also worked for him, Youchang was his main boss. The one the public knew about. His relationship with Jiehong Liu was private. Hidden from anyone else. So he would not be surprised if Jiehong treated him strangely.
As he expected, Jiehong walked up to him his face long, his frown deep. The receptionist raised her head to look at them. She frowned deeply at Jiehong when she saw the look on his face. Jiehong halted tight in front of him.
"Mr Xiao Dan. We are very surprised to see you in our territory." He said trying to hide his amusement. At least this time his amusement was not fake. Xiao Dan really had not informed him of this plan, or he would have prepared.
"Jiehong. Have you no manners?. You have an elder visit you and you ask his purpose for visiting without even bothering to welcome him?. That's bad."
Jiehong smirked, making sure to tilt his face so the receptionist saw his face clearly.
" ohh. Elder Xiao Dan. Pardon my childish behaviour. But the rules says, 'Elder or child must have a good reason of visiting before being considered to be allowed to see my boss."
"I have to see your boss. We have crucial business to talk about."
"Hnmm. I should ask the boss if has a business appointment with you which I do not know about." Jiehong said making to stretch his hand to call the boss.
Xiao Dan looked at him shocked. He had not expected Jiehong to play this difficult. He was even supposed to make things easier while acting. Xiao Dan watched his face closely. Had he quit their deal without bothering to inform him or was he just playing hard to get to avoid suspicion?. Xiao Dan was at lost as to what to think.
"I actually do not have an appointment with your boss. It was too urgent to wait to get an appointment." Xiao Dan said trying to give Jiehong a clue, but the seemed not to be getting it. After now Xiao Dan would know just how to punish him for making him suffer like this in front of the pretty receptionist.
"Then you came quite at the wrong time. The boss is a meeting right now." Jiehong replied dismissively.
" l will wait for him then. I really dont mind sitting." Xiao Dan said leaning back in his chair and winking at him. Jiehing looked panicked. It was clear his lie would soon be out. Every one in the room knew very well that Mr Youchang was in no meeting. He was only trying to get back at Xiao Dan for not informing him of his plans.
Xiao Dan smiled victoriously. Even after all the years, it was still obvious he knew how to handle young people well.
"No you can not wait. After the meeting, Mr Youchang would be tired and would need some rest. Besides, his pregnant wife Miss Yang Yang would definitely need his attention after now. So I am afraid Mr Xiao Dan, you would need to follow the due process and book a meeting with Mr Youchang." Jiehong Liu smiled victoriously at Xiao Dan.
"But if you inform your boss, I have no doubts he would not be so inconsiderate as to let me leave without seeing him. I would suggest you inform him of my presence firstly." Xiao Dan said moderately. His voice soft. He was loosing it. This man was making him waste so much time.
"There really is no need to stress my boss. As his personal assistant, I insist you return tommorow." Jiehong said. His voice full of authority. He knew Youchang was watching the scene right now, so he had to do his best to protect him.
Just then as he looked at the hidden impatience in Xiao Dan's face, the moment he had been waiting for finally arrived.
The door flew open and the deep voice of a man boomed across the room, intoxicating everyone that heard it. Even the pretty face of the receptionist turned red as she averted her eyes from the scene and back to her notes.
"What is going on here?" As Youchang asked, the authority in his clear voice could not be missed or mistaken by anyone.
