This is bad!
Several dark clouds appeared out of nowhere in the sky. Scyther knew that if it didn't break free, it would be in danger.
However, no matter how hard Scyther struggled, it couldn't break Electabuzz's grip.
Then, several bolts of lightning struck down from the dark clouds, hitting both Scyther and Electabuzz. Because Electabuzz is an Electric-type, the lightning had no effect on it.
The lightning bolts struck Scyther hard, and it cried out in agony. Scyther knew this couldn't continue. It struggled non-stop, but Electabuzz held it in a death grip, refusing to let go. Unable to break free, Scyther finally made a fierce decision: If this is the case, then we'll both go down.
Just when everyone thought Electabuzz was guaranteed to win and Scyther was certain to lose, Scyther shut its mouth, gritted its teeth, and endured the pain while gathering energy in its mouth. Then, it shot a pillar of fire from its mouth, striking Electabuzz.
Electabuzz refused to let go even when attacked by the fire column, holding Scyther in a death grip. Even as it was covered in burns, it wouldn't release its hold, showing amazing willpower.
Finally, Electabuzz couldn't hold on any longer, and its hands instantly loosened. Electabuzz was knocked back a long distance by the pillar of fire. The Thunder attack from the sky also stopped. Scyther was in a similar state, having no strength left to use Hidden Power again.
Both Pokémon were at their physical limits. Now, it was a test of who would collapse first. Scyther struggled to stand up, and Electabuzz on the opposite side also struggled to its feet. Both Pokémon were relying on sheer willpower to continue the fight and kept staring at each other. Eichi and Sato also watched the two Pokémon on the field with grave expressions.
In the end, neither Pokémon could hold on, and they both collapsed to the ground simultaneously, fainting.
"Scyther and Electabuzz have both lost the ability to battle. The match is a draw. Please release your second Pokémon."
Eichi took out a Poké Ball, recalled Scyther, and said, "You worked hard, Scyther."
Sato also recalled his Electabuzz and gave a rare compliment. "You did well, Electabuzz."
He took out his second Poké Ball.
"Go, Charizard!"
"Go, Beedrill!"
Charizard and Beedrill appeared on the field one after another, and the atmosphere grew incredibly tense.
Charizard, the Flame Pokémon.
Types: Fire / FlyingAbility: Blaze Hidden Ability: Solar Power Talent Grade: OutstandingTrainer Rank: EliteDescription: Charizard is a bipedal Pokémon with the characteristics of a Western dragon. Its skin is primarily orange, a slightly lighter color than Charmeleon's, with a creamy color extending from its belly to the tip of its tail and the soles of its feet. It has short, thick hind limbs and relatively small forelimbs. The forelimbs have three sharp claws, and its feet also have three sharp claws. Unlike its pre-evolved form, Charizard has large wings on its back that it uses to fly. The undersides of the wings are blue-green, and a horn-like protrusion grows from the third joint. It has a long neck, small blue eyes, and two horn-like protrusions on the back of its head. Like its pre-evolved form, a flame burns at the tip of its long tail.
Looking at the Charizard in front of him, Eichi felt a surge of emotion. I am too familiar with Charizard. In his previous life playing the games, he particularly liked using Charizard, and it could also Mega Evolve. There was a time when I really wanted a Charizard. I never imagined that my final opponent would be the Pokémon I once liked the most. Fate is unpredictable.
The audience members were incredibly excited. The previous match between Scyther and Electabuzz had been too spectacular. Now, both Trainers had only their last Pokémon left, and who would win was still unknown. This suspense held the hearts of all the spectators.
On the other side, Director Yanagi spoke again, "That was truly brilliant just now. The willpower of Scyther and Electabuzz is admirable; their desire for victory is deeply moving."
The Vice-Principal also spoke, "Yes, but going forward, Student Eichi should be no match for Charizard. After all, how can a Beedrill possibly defeat a Charizard?"
Director Yanagi glanced at Teacher Takemoto, who had been silently watching the match without saying a word.
I should just keep watching the match, Director Yanagi thought.
On the battleground,
"Continue the match!"
"Charizard, use Flamethrower!"
Charizard stared at Beedrill, tilted its head back, and gathered a ball of fire in its mouth before fiercely unleashing a Flamethrower. The sheer volume and power of the flame indicated the strength of this Charizard. Eichi, who was not far from Charizard, could already feel the heat of the flames.
He couldn't just take the fire column attack idly.
"Beedrill, avoid it!"
When the Flamethrower attack came, Beedrill easily dodged it. However, Charizard's Flamethrower followed Beedrill wherever it flew. When Sato saw that the attack couldn't hit Beedrill, he had Charizard stop.
"Charizard, fly up, pursue Beedrill, and then use Fire Spin!"
Charizard flapped its wings, soaring into the sky to chase Beedrill. Charizard was incredibly fast in the air; it seemed Sato had put a lot of effort into training it. However, it still couldn't catch Beedrill. Charizard's purpose wasn't to catch Beedrill, but to close the distance. It then spat out streams of fire from its mouth. The flames quickly began to circle Beedrill, causing the surrounding moisture to start evaporating. Beedrill was trapped inside the Fire Spin and instantly suffered a burn.
Now, Beedrill was surrounded by flames and would continuously take burn damage for several turns. Fire is Super Effective against Bug-types. Although the damage from this initial hit was relatively small, the cumulative power over a few turns would be considerable.
In that case, let's just go straight in, Eichi decided.
"Beedrill, use Brick Break!"
Beedrill stopped trying to escape, turned its body, and charged towards Charizard.
Sato exclaimed excitedly, "Excellent! Charizard, let's go! Use Dragon Claw!"
Charizard sped up, and its right claw suddenly swelled into a huge claw, shining with white light. The two Pokémon collided in mid-air.
A loud boom sounded, and the powerful wind swept across the entire field, kicking up water and dust.
The first collision ended in a draw, with neither Pokémon gaining an advantage. They immediately continued their engagement. The sky became their battlefield. The energy levels of both Pokémon were significantly higher than those of the other Pokémon in the tournament. The audience watched the battle with rapt attention.
After several rounds of clashes, it was clear to any discerning observer that Eichi's Beedrill was slightly at a disadvantage in these exchanges.
