I elbowed him instinctively, forcing him to loosen his hold. "Hey—!"
He released me easily, clearly amused.
"Just because we're on our honeymoon," I said, turning to face him with a warning glare, "doesn't mean you can act all lovey-dovey with me."
"Lovey-dovey?" He looked genuinely stunned. Then he stepped closer, one step invading my space effortlessly. "That was just a hug, wife."
"A very unnecessary hug," I shot back.
He tilted his head, eyes flicking over my face with unmistakable meaning. "Interesting. Considering what we did last night, I'd say hugging ranks pretty low on the scale."
My face burned instantly. "Y-You—! That's not the point!"
"Then what is your point, wife?" he asked, his voice taking on that sexy, husky tone as he stepped even closer.
I took a step back.
He followed.
