As the 'duck' that was about to be caught flew away, the duet man instinctively stood up and called out, "Wait!"
He seemed like he had more to say to her, but Kelsey ignored him completely. Her eyes were locked on Rhett.
Then she looked over to where Quiana was and saw Hunter standing with her.
It clicked, then. Kelsey glanced between Hunter and Rhett, realizing they must have come here together.
She pressed her lips together, saying nothing, and walked straight over to Quiana. "Let's go back first."
Quiana nodded and reached for her hand, but Hunter's arm shot out, grabbing Quiana's wrist and pulling her back.
"What are you doing?" Quiana looked at him, surprised. "Kaitlyn is coming back with us…"
Hunter didn't say anything. He just lifted his chin, gesturing coolly toward Rhett. "She's got someone coming to pick her up. Why are you getting involved?"
Quiana's face fell. "Why not? She came with me!"
