Kelsey's sudden outburst… it wasn't really about the pianist.
She was just angry. Angry that she wasn't free.
That Rhett restricted her in everything. That no matter what she did, he was there, hanging a threat over her head.
That's what made her the most furious.
Rhett knew it.
He understood perfectly. But he still couldn't stand it. Not even the slightest chance that she might be pleading for another man.
"You have ten minutes," he said, his voice chillingly calm. "Ten minutes. If you can make me change my mind, I won't touch him."
"Do you really think I'd care about some stranger?" Kelsey's voice shook with frustration. "I already told you, I have no relationship with him! We just met by chance and played one song together!"
"Really?" Rhett's gaze was like ice. "The way you're reacting right now doesn't seem like you don't care at all."
