Chapter 56 - Monster:

The earth was trembling.

Every time their fists met, the world seemed to crack a little more. The wind screamed, the ground split open, and the sky above them burned in crimson light.

But despite all the chaos, one truth was clear — Razor was losing.

He was fast. Precise. Ruthless. But against the monster in front of him, it wasn't enough. Not anymore.

Razor gasped for breath, his vision blurring. His golden aura flickered like a dying flame. He had pushed his Super Saiyan 3 form beyond its limits, but Cumber still stood tall — laughing.

"Is that it?" Cumber taunted, cracking his neck. "You've got power, I'll give you that. But compared to me… you're just another corpse waiting to drop."

Razor spat blood onto the ground. "Keep talking. I'll make you eat those words."

Cumber grinned. "Then let's make things interesting."

He raised his head, letting out a guttural roar that shook the air. His aura erupted violently — not the usual golden glow of a Super Saiyan, but something far more sinister. A golden flame burned beneath a thick, swirling mass of red and black energy. The sky dimmed instantly, clouds twisting above him.

The ground around Cumber began to melt.

Razor's eyes widened. He's mixing Evil Ki… with Super Saiyan?

Cumber's laugh echoed through the battlefield. "You feel it, don't you? This is despair."

His aura flared higher, tendrils of corrupted energy crawling across his body like living shadows. His eyes gleamed crimson, veins pulsing at his temples. "This power… is beyond anything you've seen."

Razor steadied himself, but his body was trembling. His arm — fractured from their last clash — hung loosely at his side. His upper armor was torn apart, exposing deep, jagged claw marks stretching from his face down to his chest.

Every breath hurt. Every movement burned.

But his gaze stayed sharp. "So this is your true strength, truly a monster."

Cumber smirked. "Monster? I've accepted that long ago. But you…" He stepped forward slowly. "You're still pretending to be human."

Before Razor could respond, Cumber disappeared from sight.

A shockwave ripped through the air — and Razor was suddenly sent flying, blood spraying as Cumber appeared behind him, his hand wrapped in a massive shadowy claw.

"Désastre Claw!" Cumber roared.

The enormous spectral hand slashed downward, cutting through mountains like paper. Razor barely twisted out of the full hit, but the claw still grazed him, tearing through his shoulder. He screamed, crashing into the ground below, carving a trench as he skidded across the earth.

Dust exploded everywhere.

Cumber landed lightly, eyes glowing red through the haze. "Still alive? Good. Don't die yet."

Razor coughed violently, spitting blood. His arm dangled unnaturally. His breathing was ragged. But he forced himself to stand.

"Why… do you fight?" he asked between gasps.

Cumber tilted his head. "Because it's fun."

"Fun?" Razor muttered, glaring. "You slaughter your own kind… and call it fun?"

"They were weak," Cumber said simply. "If they can't survive, they don't deserve to exist. That's the only law that matters."

He vanished again — and Razor barely saw the fist coming before it slammed into his ribs. A sickening crack echoed. The next punch landed across his face, sending him reeling.

"Come on!" Cumber shouted, punching him again. "Show me more! Where's that resolve you kept bragging about?"

Razor barely managed to raise his arm to block, but another hit broke through his guard. He was sent spinning into a boulder, shattering it on impact.

The dust settled — and Razor staggered out again, barely standing.

"You just… don't stop," he muttered, wiping blood from his lip.

Cumber chuckled. "You say that like it's a bad thing."

Razor lunged forward again, roaring — every ounce of his strength poured into one last attack. His fist connected with Cumber's jaw, creating a shockwave that tore apart the nearby terrain. But when the light faded, Cumber was smiling.

"Nice hit," he said. "My turn."

Before Razor could react, Cumber's aura flared violently. The red-black flames twisted around his arms as he spread his hands wide.Evil Ki began condensing — swirling into a massive orb that radiated hatred.

"Let me show you something new," Cumber growled. "Désastre Eraser!"

The energy sphere expanded, humming with unstable energy. Razor tried to move, but his legs gave out. His body refused to obey. He could only watch — helpless — as the sphere of destruction grew larger, blotting out the light.

"Goodbye, Razor," Cumber said coldly, launching the attack.

The beam tore through the air, leaving a trail of darkness in its wake. Razor's pupils widened as the red-black wave consumed everything in front of it. He didn't even have time to scream.

Then came the explosion.

The world turned white — sound vanished. For a moment, it was as if existence itself had been erased.

The shockwave vaporized the ground, flattening everything within miles. The flames rose high into the sky, and then slowly began to fade.

Silence.

When the dust finally cleared, a massive crater stretched across the battlefield. The air shimmered with heat, debris floating in the aftermath.

At the center of that crater — Razor lay motionless.

His hair had returned to black. His body was mangled, armor shattered beyond recognition. His body bore the deep burn marks of Cumber's attack.

His eyes flickered open weakly. His lips moved, but no words came out.

Cumber landed on the edge of the crater, looking down at him with amusement. "Still breathing, huh? Impressive."

He crouched, tilting his head as he studied Razor's broken form. "You know… you had me entertained for a while. Not many can do that."

Razor's eyes slowly shifted toward him. "You… call this… entertainment?" he rasped.

Cumber smirked. "What else is life for?"

Razor tried to lift his arm — but it fell limp. He could barely move. "You'll… regret… this…"

Cumber laughed, standing tall. "Regret? The only one who'll feel that… is you."

For a brief moment, the battlefield was silent again. Only the distant crackle of dying flames filled the air.

Cumber turned away. "You fought well, Razor. Be proud of that… in the next life."

He began walking off, the red-black aura flickering faintly around him.

Razor lay still, his eyes half-closed. His breathing was shallow, but he was alive — barely. His thoughts drifted.

I can't die here… not yet… not in this time…

The sky above him was dark — the smell of ash and smoke filling his lungs.
