Chapter 393 - Chapter 393: Returning to Universe 7—Completely Stunned

"Gran, you're a Time Patroller now as well. It's your responsibility to deal with these temporal criminals!"

Chronoa puffed out her cheeks in annoyance.

"Besides, you just promised you'd help me. You can't take it back now."

"Fine."

Gran let out a sigh.

He had visited the Realm of Time twice now. Aside from Chronoa and the four people from GT—including Son Goku—he had never seen anyone else.

He didn't know whether the Realm of Time was hiding other powerful experts.

However, judging from the Time Patrollers Chronoa had recruited, none of them seemed capable of dealing with Mechikabura.

That meant he was the only option.

"By the way, if you think Mechikabura is such a huge problem, why don't you just ask Lord Time King to handle him?" Gran asked again.

"Do you even hear yourself?"

Chronoa replied speechlessly.

"To Lord Time King, someone like Mechikabura isn't even worth mentioning. Why would Lord Time King waste time dealing with trash like that?"

"..."

Fair point.

With Gran's current strength, even he looked down on Mechikabura.

Someone of Lord Time King's stature would naturally care even less.

"So when do you plan to deal with Mechikabura?"

"That depends on you."

Chronoa explained,

"Mechikabura is still sealed at the moment. It's only his subordinates running around causing trouble."

"They aren't capable of creating any major disasters."

"So there's no rush. We can move when you have time."

"I see."

Gran nodded.

Chronoa looked at him expectantly.

"Then when will you be free?"

"Not yet. First, I need to return to Universe 7 and take a look around."

Gran shook his head.

Beerus was currently asleep.

As a result, Universe 7 was essentially under his management.

Especially since he had organized the Universal Martial Arts Tournament a year ago. He wanted to see whether it had actually improved the overall level of the universe.

As for Universe 6, Champa and Vados were keeping an eye on things there, so there wasn't much to worry about.

"Alright. When you're available, just contact me through the Time Ring. Or you can come directly to the Realm of Time."

Having successfully recruited her strongest fighter, Chronoa couldn't stop smiling.

"Then I'm heading back."

Gran nodded before vanishing from the garden.

Only Chronoa remained.

Using her Space-Time Power to gently push the swing, she swayed back and forth, the smile on her small face growing brighter and brighter.

Time passed.

Then suddenly, a blurry figure appeared beside her.

"You went to investigate the monsters with Gran?"

The voice was gentle.

Yet it carried an indescribable power.

As it echoed through the void, even space-time itself seemed to distort.

"Ah?!"

Chronoa jumped in fright.

The moment she recognized the newcomer, she hurriedly leapt off the swing and bowed.

"Greetings, Lord Time King!"

"No need for formalities."

Time King casually raised a hand.

An invisible force immediately straightened Chronoa's petite body.

"You went to investigate the monsters with Gran?"

Time King repeated the question.

"..."

Chronoa swallowed nervously.

For some reason, Lord Time King's tone felt different than usual.

Had she done something wrong by bringing Gran to investigate the monsters?

"Yes!"

She answered honestly before carefully asking,

"Was that not allowed?"

Time King stood shrouded in a dense, mysterious aura.

The figure seemed unreal, almost as if existing outside the boundaries of time and space entirely.

"It's not that it wasn't allowed."

"But he's still too weak."

"Ah?"

Chronoa covered her mouth in shock.

Gran already possessed Angel-level power.

And that was still considered weak?

"As for the monsters, stop investigating them for now."

Time King began walking out of the garden.

"With your current level of strength, you won't uncover anything."

"Yes."

Chronoa followed closely behind.

Unable to hide her disappointment, she let out a quiet sigh.

She hated this feeling of knowing nothing.

After returning with Time King to the Archive Vault, her curiosity finally got the better of her.

Gathering her courage, she asked,

"Lord Time King, may I ask a question?"

"Go ahead."

"Did those monsters emerge from Chaos?"

Chronoa asked because that had been Gran's theory.

And honestly, she thought it was highly possible as well.

"No."

"Ah?"

Chronoa's eyes widened.

That meant both she and Gran had guessed wrong.

Time King turned around and gently patted her head.

"That's enough for now. Leave the matter at that."

"Yes!"

Meanwhile, inside the Temporal Tunnel, Gran was traveling back to his own timeline.

"I thought I'd finally uncover the truth behind the monsters..."

He sighed inwardly.

"But it ended up being a wasted effort."

Still, the journey wasn't entirely without gains.

He remained convinced that the monsters had originated from either Chaos itself—or somewhere beyond Chaos.

And he firmly believed his deduction was correct.

"Those kinds of problems can be left to the big shots."

Stretching lazily, Gran yawned.

His figure sped through the Temporal Tunnel.

Before long, he returned to his own timeline.

Floating in the starry void, Gran spread out his senses across Universe 7.

According to his perception, nothing major had happened.

Everything seemed much the same as before he had left.

Then again...

The current year was Age 764.

The story was about to enter the Android Saga.

At this point in history, there really shouldn't be any major events occurring.

With that in mind, Gran began traveling through Universe 7.

He casually selected a nearby planet and descended onto it.

The civilization there was quite unusual.

Its intelligent lifeforms were all plants.

Fortunately, after serving as a Candidate God of Destruction for so long, Gran had encountered every kind of strange species imaginable.

This no longer surprised him.

While wandering through a forest, he discovered a martial arts tournament taking place.

The competitors were a blade of grass and a flower.

Judging by their power levels, both possessed combat strengths of roughly 2,000.

Back in the old days, that would have made them stronger than Raditz.

Gran never expected that a random planet he happened to visit would contain warriors of that caliber.

It felt almost surreal.

Standing at a distance, he examined the audience as well.

The spectators were also plant-based lifeforms.

Although they weren't as strong as the two fighters on stage, most still possessed power levels ranging from several hundred to around one thousand.

Gran was completely dumbfounded.

The shock on his face was impossible to hide.
