Morning dawned over the academy as Adrian wore his regular black outfit and his mask. He couldn't stop thinking about the message he got from Ethan, his first stepbrother.
"Good morning, Adrian,"
He flinched as Lucien called his name. He slowly turned around but didn't meet Lucien's eyes. Lucien couldn't even see his eyes properly because of his dark sunglasses.
"Lucien?" Adrian called.
"Oh! You know my voice. I'm glad you remembered," he grinned, staring at Adrian. He didn't even bat an eye. It was as if he was studying him.
"Shouldn't you be in class?" Adrian asked, looking away from Lucien.
"Of course... I'll be heading there. Do you need help? We attend the same class, don't we?" He asked.
Adrian swallowed hard. He needed to get to the security room again to get rid of the evidence for Lucien.
"You don't have to. I'm a slow walker," Adrian said.
"I'm patient. Shall we?" He asked.
Adrian frowned as he bit his lower lip.
"Sure," he murmured as he tried to grab his stick but Lucien helped him and slipped it into his hand.
Adrian flinched as Lucien touched him. Lucien never cared about him. Adrian was sure it was because he was the next on Lucien's list.
They left together and headed to the class.
"We have a computer class today," Lucien said and placed a hand on Adrian's shoulder as he checked his schedule.
Adrian swallowed hard again. He was feeling uncomfortable. It's not because Lucien was following him but because of that unexpected touch. He could feel his pants getting tighter as he walked towards the computer room.
He could use the school computer to get rid of the video. It would take a few minutes but he could do it.
"Oh, we're here," he said and opened the door. They stepped in.
By the door, some of the guys close to Lucien gathered like they were having a discussion. When the door opened, they turned their gaze to Lucien.
"Oh! He's here already," he heard one of them say as they walked closer to him. They ignored Adrian and shoved him to the side.
Adrian used the opportunity to walk towards one of the computers to do what he wanted to do. He would have used the computer room the other day but it was always locked when not in use.
Meanwhile, Lucien was with his friends who were from the same team.
"Have you seen Ricky? We've not been able to see him ever since yesterday,"
"Yeah, man. He told us he was going to meet you at the locker room," the other one said.
Lucien didn't react. He just touched his bruised cheek.
"Oh... Didn't he return to his hostel yesterday? He hit me a few times and walked away," he said.
"Oh man. Is Ricky insane?!"
"Let's punch him once we see him. How dare he hit Lucien,"
"Haha!" Lucien calmly waved his hand like he didn't care. He didn't want them to take revenge on their behalf. After all, Ricky was gone. "It's fine. Maybe he sneaked out of the academy. I'm sure he'll be back before our practice today,"
"Ah right... Today's practice." One of his friends said and tapped Lucien's shoulder.
"See you later, Lucien," his other friend said and pointed his thumb behind him towards Adrian, who was clicking on a keyboard in the backseat like he could see what he was doing. "And stop hanging out with that freak. We heard his face was burned with acid. Someone claimed they saw his face,"
"I'll think about it. After all, he's my roommate," Lucien tapped his shoulder too and walked towards Adrian to sit close to him.
.
Adrian was already done getting rid of the footage of Lucien placing the ice box in the locker room. Lucien sat close to him and he swiftly turned off the computer and just rested his hands on the keys.
"Do you need help?" Lucien asked and Adrian secretly rolled his eyes. He needed help with the bulge in his pants but there was another way he could say that to Lucien. He just acted tough.
"I don't," he said but Lucien didn't listen. He took Adrian's gloved hand and peeled the black glove from his hand. Adrian flinched as a soft main escaped from his lips.
Lucien swore that he heard the moan but pretended not to. He held Adrian's hand carefully as he placed it on a key.
"Your hands are so soft, Adrian. Are you really a man? Or... a girl?" He asked. Adrian snatched his hand from Lucien, breathing heavily. Lucien watched him bury his hand between his thighs and he snickered. He wanted to continue troubling Adrian but he just held back since the teacher had entered.
The class for the day started. The teacher paid no attention to Adrian, not because he was the ghost boy, but because he was blind. He can't be able to use the computer anyway. But Lucien didn't stop chatting with Adrian.
After all, Adrian was the next on his list. Lucien rubbed his chin as he pondered.
'Why would they include his name in the list? How do they expect me to kill such an innocent blind kid? I could exempt his name and kill him later once I get bored,'
He smirked to himself, paying no attention to the class in front of him.
.
Just a few hours later, the morning classes ended and Lucien went with the boys to the locker room to change before heading to the field. Everyone entered together, chatting and laughing. Lucien placed his bag on the floor as he opened his locker door. He peeled his hoodie from his body first, but was left with his white polo.
"Ricky isn't still back," he heard one of the guys say as he swiftly put on the jersey.
"Coach is going to teach him a lesson once he returns," the other one added and they all laughed.
"But guys, what is this ice box? Did the coach get us some drinks for today's training?"
"Coach is as selfish as hell. Ain't no way he got that for us,"
Others started agreeing with what the person said until one said...
"Let's open it. I'm sure they are drinks,"
"I bet they are just waters. Table waters,"
They were about to open it. As if he heard them arguing, the coach walked in with his tracksuit.
"Let's hurry boys! I need you on the field now,"
"Coach! Did you get this for us?" One of them pointed at the ice box.
Lucien, who had worn his complete jersey, walked towards the coach.
"Thank you, coach! I'm sure today's training is going to be brutal since you got us energy drinks,"
"I... I didn't get any drinks. I didn't even put that there," the coach spoke as he shook his head.
"Huh? If you didn't... Who did?" Lucien asked and looked around at his team members' faces. They all looked confused.
"Open it!" The coach ordered and Lucien nodded.
He walked towards the icebox and carried it. He placed it on the bench as everyone flocked around like flies. He secretly grinned. He couldn't wait to see their reaction.
He slowly unlocked it and pulled the cover open.
The first thing was the smell that penetrated everyone's nose. It wasn't that harsh since the death was just yesterday.
"Is that...?"
"Ricky?"
"Oh my God!"
"Call the president!"
They were all terrified as some of them rushed to puke at the corner of the locker room. Lucien was satisfied with the looks on their faces. They've acted their parts, except him. All eyes were directed to him as the cover he was holding slipped from his hand.
He stepped back and dramatically, his eyes rolled to the back of his head as he fainted.
'No... That's how you act,'
