Chapter 9 - Ethan's Coming?

Adrian couldn't remember the number of times he had experienced near-death experiences, not just from his stepfathers but also from his own mother. His mother was the female version of a Playboy. Just to say, she's a slut.

Adrian has no idea who his father was because his mother slept around a lot. She could marry today and divorce tomorrow for one reason or another.

The major reason was always Adrian. She cursed the day she ever gave birth to a devilish child with angelic beauty.

'A boy like you doesn't deserve this beauty. Now, you're using it to steal my men from me,'

That was the reason his mother always saw him as a threat. She could return and see her husband forcing himself on her son. She would blame her son for seducing him. There were times she almost killed him, but he was saved either by his reflexes or by his stepbrother. The only one he trusts.

That's why Adrian decided to live another life when his mother put him in this academy and made sure he never showed his face at home.

Adrian snapped out of his thoughts, exited the app and returned Lucien's phone to where it used to be. He went back to the dark corner of his bed and lay down.

He kept thinking about why Lucien would want to kill him. They don't have any grudge like he does with Ricky Brown.

'Come to think of it. Does he even have a personal grudge with Isabelle when he killed her? Is his murder list just for fun? Or... did someone create the list for him and made him the reaper?'

Adrian had a lot of questions. He lay on the bed thinking hard till the bathroom door opened, and he didn't even bother closing his eyes since Lucien didn't even pay attention to him. His body was soaking wet with sweat. He groaned as he dropped the saw on the bed that was covered.

"Finally done. But, how do I deliver my message?" He rubbed his chin. Under the same bed, he pulled another box. It looked difficult from the other kind of metal box that he had.

Since Lucien was the golden boy, it was normal for him to have this. In case he gets invited to a party and he must show up.

It was an ice box.

He looked at it to make sure there wasn't personal branding like his name on it. When he saw it was clean, he slapped another pair of gloves in his hand again before walking back to the bathroom with the ice box.

He stuffed Ricky's chopped body inside and sealed it closed. He placed it close to the door and started cleaning the mess he had made. He washed the bathroom clean till it was sparkling and got rid of all the evidence. The gloves he wore were melted by acid, including the nylon he had spread on the bed. He washed his tools clean and kept them. He then stretched his hands and picked up his watch from the table.

"Oho! It's almost 4am. I can't believe I finished on time. I've gotten so fast," he complimented himself as he lay on the bed. He took his phone under the pillow and opened the app. He crossed Ricky's name and looked at the next name.

"Huh? Adrian Cross? Are you kidding me?" He murmured to himself but his voice was loud for Adrian to hear. "How on earth am I supposed to kill that blind boy? It's not going to be fun!"

He complained more but suddenly placed his hands under his head, thinking of a way to kill his roommate. His blind and precious roommate.

"I guess I'll be able to see his face after I've killed him. I heard there are rumours that he's cursed or scarred. I wonder. Maybe I should kill him and pin his body in the garden for everyone to see," he asked himself and suddenly shook his head like he was trying to forget what he was thinking about.

"I'll think about it later. But now, I should think of a way to deliver that box to the locker room without getting caught. I can't imagine everyone's reaction once they see his body," Lucien suddenly grinned as he wrapped his hands around his own body and started to wiggle unnaturally on the bed. "Would they secretly thank me, the secret murderer, for killing him? After all, he's a fucking nuisance to everyone. His death could be more like a relief than pain,"

He just couldn't wait for tomorrow, while Adrian, who had been listening to him, let out a groan as he turned to the other side. He was waiting for his death.

He doesn't mind getting choked by Lucien with his large body between his legs. He didn't mind feeling his huge hand with his long fingers around his neck.

At least, he would be able to feel Lucien's huge cock if he leans close before he gets stabbed or probably chopped to pieces.

'No, I shouldn't think of that. I'd better delete the footage again when Lucien places the ice box in the locker room. He mustn't get caught. At all,'

.

.

4 am arrived with the blink of an eye. Adrian pulled out his books to read. He used his support as always. His phone.

He used his fingers as he read just to make sure his act was enough to fool Lucien, whether he was asleep or not. After an hour of reading, he finally went to the bathroom to take a shower.

As he took off his cap and mask to look at his reflection in the mirror, he sighed quietly, his fingers brushing over the skin he rarely showed anyone.

Under the harsh bathroom white light, Adrian's face looked almost unreal... the kind that could make anyone stop breathing for a second. His lashes were long and dark, framing eyes that were a striking shade of ice blue with gold flecks.

His nose was straight, refined and his lips... soft, full, and tinted with a natural pink that made them look far too inviting for someone with such an expressionless face.

The faint moon scar tracing his waist only made him look more sinful. His skin was pale and delicate but clear, smooth to the touch, the type of face that didn't need light to be noticed. He almost looked like a toy.

Adrian tilted his head slightly, his gaze lowering to his reflection's lips before giving a quiet scoff.

"Devil's face, huh?" he murmured to himself.

If someone saw him like this... without the cap, the mask, or the guarded silence... they wouldn't just fall for him; they'd fall too deep to ever climb back out.

He dried his hair and slipped his cap over his light brown hair. He also wore his mask and just as he was about to leave, he got a message from his phone. He waited to see who it was from. He didn't know anyone at the academy, so he was sure it was from the outside.

The text was simple...

I'll be transferring into your academy, Adrian. Then, we can see each other every time like the old times. Can't wait to see you, brother.

From Ethan.

Adrian turned his phone screen off as he furrowed his brows.

"Why? Why is Ethan coming here?"
