Whitley stood quietly on a solitary, high peak. The setting sun, like molten gold, spilled over the strange and magnificent mountains of the God of Destruction's Realm.
He had changed back into his former black battle suit, which was now tinged with a warm orange glow under the sunlight.
Whitley gazed at the massive orange star as it slowly sank below the distant horizon, painting the entire sky a magnificent crimson.
But the night in the God of Destruction's Realm did not arrive as expected.
Just as the sky was about to be swallowed by the deep darkness of the universe, in the east, another, younger and more active white star was already rising.
Its cold yet brilliant light promptly filled the void in the sky, keeping this world perpetually bathed in an eternal light.
Only the hue and temperature of the light had quietly, unconsciously, changed.
Whitley's gaze followed the white star, and a silver glow appeared in his deep eyes along with its emergence.
He slowly raised his hands and clasped them together in front of him, his expression focused as he felt the immense power within his body.
A moment later, his clasped hands began to separate with an extremely slow speed, as if carrying an immense weight.
As his palms separated, a dark purple point of light, exuding an aura of high temperature and annihilation, suddenly appeared in the empty space between his hands!
The point of light was initially only the size of a grain of rice, but it contained a heart-pounding, terrifying fluctuation.
As the distance between Whitley's palms gradually increased, this dark purple energy mass also began to expand violently!
Fine beads of sweat appeared on Whitley's temples. Clearly, controlling this destructive energy was still a burden on his body.
But just then, a silver glint flashed in Whitley's eyes. He did not throw the energy out like Beerus would have. Instead, he let out a low shout, "Not enough!"
He actually began to forcibly inject the characteristics of his own "White Heat Flash" technique, which contained extreme heat, into this already highly unstable ball of destructive energy!
Instantly, the interior of the dark purple energy sphere seemed to ignite, a brilliant white light bursting from its core!
An indescribable high temperature instantly radiated outwards, and the surrounding space was slightly distorted.
The two completely different energies, dark purple and brilliant white, clashed and merged violently, emitting a grating hissing sound, on the verge of losing control and exploding!
Whitley gritted his teeth, and the not-so-vast but powerful God Ki in his body poured out without reservation, forcibly suppressing and guiding these two unruly forces.
His control was as fine as possible, his mind highly focused. The two forces merging in his hands were like dancing on the edge of a knife.
Finally, after a suppressed roar, the form of the energy sphere stabilized once again.
It was no longer a pure dark purple. A trace of brilliant white light was now constantly flowing through its core and on its surface, exuding a terrifying aura of both annihilation and incineration!
Whitley let out a long sigh of relief. Looking at the successfully fused, brand new energy in his hand, a tired but very satisfied smile appeared on his face.
"I finally succeeded... I'll call it... 'Destruction Flash'? It sounds a bit familiar for some reason..."
After seventeen days and nights of continuous comprehension and experimentation, he had finally fully grasped the core of the "Destruction" divine power and, with his own powerful control and creative thinking, had fused it with his own characteristics.
He had created this ultimate technique, unique to him and unlike any previous move.
Perhaps it was the subconscious influence of his past life's memories, or perhaps it was a habit developed in the cruel environment of Planet Vegeta, but he always had a deep-rooted "fear of insufficient firepower." He always felt that simple destruction was not enough; he had to add his specialty of extreme heat to feel at ease.
"Ara~"
A gentle voice, tinged with a hint of amazement, came from behind him.
"You actually succeeded, Whitley. To fuse two completely different, powerful forces, that courage and control are truly impressive."
Whis had appeared silently at some point, his usual smile on his face, but his purple eyes sparkled with a hint of wonder and admiration.
Whitley didn't turn around. He continued to gaze at the slowly dissipating "Destruction Flash" in his hand, and at the white sun that had already taken its dominant position in the distant sky.
After several minutes, when his aura had completely calmed down, he turned to look at Whis and said calmly:
"I have more or less mastered the God of Destruction's power now. As for the mission to clean up those 'trash planets' we talked about, when do you think is a good time to set off?"
He got straight to the point. Since he had already mastered the power of a God of Destruction, he would not shirk the work that came with it.
Hearing this, an even more playful smile appeared on Whis's face as he teased:
"Oh my? I didn't expect this. Whitley has actually become so diligent and reliable. You know, just over half a month ago, a certain someone was extremely disdainful of the 'God of Destruction' position~ If only Lord Beerus could train as hard and work as seriously as you. The ranking of our Universe 7 would have probably been far ahead for a long time, wouldn't it?"
As he spoke, he even feigned a worried sigh, as if he were truly heartbroken over his own God of Destruction's laziness.
Whitley couldn't be bothered with him and, with a blank expression, turned and walked down the mountain towards the residence Bulma had set up.
Whis didn't mind and naturally followed behind him, still chattering about recent events.
"Bulma hasn't been idle at all during the ten-plus days you were in seclusion. Your little girlfriend is truly a rare genius in the field of science! Her mobile research lab is already fully set up, and her efficiency is astonishing. And I heard her say that her next plan is to open up a piece of land in the God of Destruction's Realm and try to grow some of Earth's unique crops."
Whitley paused, a look of astonishment on his face.
"Farming here? With the soil of the God of Destruction's Realm and this planet's ridiculous environment... is that even possible?"
Whis chuckled and continued:
"And that's not all. She said she also plans to design and build an unmanned spaceship to transport some highly adaptable and good-quality livestock embryos from Earth, to try and establish large-scale artificial breeding in the God of Destruction's Realm."
"Breeding?!"
This time, Whitley was truly shocked. Raising cows and sheep in the God of Destruction's Realm?
The image was so beautiful it was almost beyond his imagination!
"The gravity problem alone is completely unsolvable, right? Ordinary animals would be instantly..."
"Ho ho ho~" Whis covered his mouth and laughed.
"Bulma also said that she's preparing to build a large-scale 'anti-gravity ecological simulation chamber' to solve the environmental adaptation problems for planting and breeding. Such a creative idea."
Whitley was completely convinced. He shook his head helplessly.
The girlfriend he had found was truly a genius who knew how to stir things up. To think she wanted to bring high-tech agriculture and animal husbandry to the realm of the gods...
But... the thought of perhaps being able to eat fresh Earth vegetables and barbecue in the God of Destruction's Realm in the future, he seemed... a little expectant?
As they talked, they had already arrived in front of the modern house that Bulma had produced from a DynoCap.
The house seemed a bit out of place with the surrounding environment, but it also strangely blended in, creating a peculiar sense of a mix between Chinese and Western styles.
"Bulma! I'm back!"
Whitley pushed open the door and called out loudly.
However, the person who came out was not the lively, blue-haired girl he had expected.
A tall and graceful woman stood in the doorway. She had bluish-green skin similar to Whis's, and her long, silver-white hair was tied back in a neat, high ponytail, with two strands falling in front of her forehead.
She wore an attire similar in style to Whis's, but it better accentuated her excellent figure.
Her face was beautiful but carried a natural coldness and aloofness. She also held an angel's staff in her hand.
At this moment, this female angel was sizing up Whitley with her calm, golden eyes, a faint, playful smile on her lips that sent an inexplicable chill down Whitley's spine.
Whitley instantly froze on the spot, his pupils contracting slightly as he screamed internally, 'Are you serious?! Why is the angel of Universe 6—Vados—here?!'
"Ara~"
Whis walked out from behind him and greeted the female angel with a smile, his tone familiar.
"You haven't gone back yet, big sister."
Vados nodded slightly in response to Whis, but her gaze never left Whitley.
She spoke, her voice clear and cold.
"I heard that Universe 7 has a rare Apprentice God of Destruction. Lord Champa is temporarily unable to leave Universe 6, but he is very 'concerned' about this and specifically asked me to come and see the situation."
She emphasized the word "concerned." Clearly, the fat God of Destruction was more curious and had a certain competitive spirit.
She took a step forward and scrutinized Whitley even more closely, not missing a single detail from the tip of his hair to his toes.
Her gaze seemed to be able to pierce through everything, making Whitley feel like a specimen being observed under a microscope. It made him feel so uncomfortable that goosebumps were about to form.
Just as Whitley was about to speak, Vados finally withdrew her penetrating gaze.
Her smile deepened slightly, and a look of... satisfaction appeared in her eyes?
"Mm... a condensed aura, a solid foundation. To be able to preliminarily master 'Destruction' in such a short time, and even be innovative."
She commented, her tone flat but with a hint of approval.
"It seems you are much more reliable than a certain God of Destruction who only knows how to eat and sleep. You are very good."
Whitley quickly nodded and replied dryly, "Thank you for the compliment, Miss Vados."
Then, almost as if fleeing, he quickly passed by her and ducked into the house.
The presence and gaze of this big sister were too much pressure for him.
From behind him came Whis's undisguised chuckle.
"Hehehe... sister, it seems your 'scrutinizing' gaze just now scared our Apprentice God of Destruction~"
Hearing this, Vados's cold gaze immediately turned to Whis, a hint of displeasure in it.
"Whis, instead of worrying about others' reactions, you should worry about yourself first. I sense that your ki has slightly regressed since the last time we met. How long has it been since you last trained seriously?"
The smile on Whis's face instantly froze, as if his tail had been stepped on. He immediately didn't dare to tease his strict older sister anymore and quickly made an excuse.
"Oh... well... there are many matters to attend to in the universe..."
As he spoke, he also quickly slipped into the house to find Whitley and Bulma.
Vados watched her younger brother's slightly hurried back and sighed softly in resignation.
She made up her mind that in the future, she would have to "pass by" Universe 7 more often to properly supervise this extremely talented but increasingly lazy younger brother.
Such a good angel seedling couldn't be completely assimilated by Beerus.
Whitley found Bulma in the studio on the second floor.
The room was filled with various instruments and design blueprints. Bulma was sitting in front of a huge computer, her fingers flying across the keyboard. The screen displayed complex 3D structural diagrams and countless data streams. She was so focused that she didn't even notice Whitley come in.
"Did you miss me, Bulma?" Whitley said with a smile, his voice soft.
Only then did Bulma snap back to her senses. Seeing Whitley at the door, a surprised smile blossomed on her face, and like a happy little bird, she shot up from her chair and threw herself into his arms.
"Honey! You finally finished your training! Were you successful?"
Whitley laughed heartily and caught her steadily, holding the soft, delicate body tightly in his arms. He planted several kisses on her smooth cheek and forehead, only letting go when Bulma let out a sweet complaint.
He held Bulma and sat down in the chair in front of the computer, letting her sit comfortably on his lap.
He looked curiously at the strangely shaped spaceship design on the screen. "Mm, it went very smoothly. What are you busy with? Is this the... unmanned transport ship Whis was talking about?"
"That's right!"
Bulma nodded excitedly, her blue eyes shining with wisdom and passion.
"I've basically figured out the anti-gravity technology module. Now I'm mainly working on miniaturizing the hyperspace engine and the durability of the energy core! Once this is solved, I can establish a regular unmanned cargo route from Earth to here! Then, not only can we transport various seeds and livestock embryos, but we can also bring over a lot of delicious and useful things from Earth!"
The more she spoke, the more excited she became, unconsciously gesturing with her hands and feet.
"And then I can grow vegetables and fruits on a large scale in the anti-gravity ecological simulation chamber, and breed various creatures like cows, chickens, and fish! That way, you won't have to eat those disgusting alien foods or stored Earth foods all the time! You can eat the freshest Earth delicacies whenever you want! So, aren't I amazing?"
Whitley listened to his girlfriend's endless description of her "God of Destruction Realm modification plan."
Seeing the confidence and the tender consideration for him shining in her eyes, his heart was filled with immense emotion and pride.
He hugged Bulma tightly again, burying his face in her fragrant, blue short hair. His voice was a little muffled but full of sincere emotion.
"Thank you... thank you, Bulma. Thank you for doing so much for me..."
How lucky he was to have met a woman who was not only beautiful and intelligent but also willing to use her genius to warm his stomach and his heart.
Bulma felt the change in his emotions and gently hugged him back, her voice soft.
"Silly, you're my man for life, Bulma's man. Who else would I think of if not you?"
The two held each other for a moment before Bulma gently pushed him away and pointed to the computer screen.
"Alright, you go downstairs and eat first. The robots I brought should have it ready. I'm just a little bit away from finishing the parameter validation here. I'll be down to join you as soon as I'm done."
Whitley held onto her and said with an amused smile, "It can wait until after we eat, right? Let's go together."
"Be good now~ it'll be quick!"
Bulma insisted, pulling him up from the chair and gently pushing him towards the door.
"Go on, go on. You must be starving after training for so long!"
Whitley couldn't win against her and could only smile and obediently go downstairs.
Listening to Whitley's footsteps disappear down the stairs, the gentle smile on Bulma's face instantly turned cunning and proud. Like a cat who had successfully stolen a dried fish, she gave a small pump of her fist in the air and said quietly, in a voice only she could hear:
"Hmph, that silly Whitley who only knows how to train. Now he can't leave me, can he~? Hehe, little Whitley, easily handled!"
After speaking, she couldn't help but let out a "pfft" of laughter herself. Only then did she contentedly sit back down at the computer, humming a light tune as she continued to immerse herself in her grand project of interstellar logistics.
To her, making the person she loved live a better life was the ultimate research topic worth investing in.
