Chapter 31 - Chapter 31: Sophia's Apology

Hearing Dean's words, George gave him a cold glance and said lightly, "I don't think I agreed to that."

Dean's eyes went wide. He hadn't expected George to stop playing by the usual rules.

Before he could beg any further, George brought the Iron Hammer down and sent Dean to the afterlife.

For people who rely on their strength to raid weaker players, George would never show mercy.

After dealing with Dean, the other Azure League players knew they were no match for Lord George and laid down their arms to surrender.

Looking at the dozen-plus warships that now belonged to him, George asked Origi, "Does your Cloudsea Guild often get raided by the Azure League?"

Origi nodded angrily. "Yes. Not just us—several other guilds get raided too!"

Hearing this, George cast a glance at Sophia, who stood to the side without a word.

She already had her head bowed low, not daring to look at George.

George let out a small laugh. He knew he had found a crack in Sophia's defenses.

But he didn't address Sophia first. He looked at Origi and said with a smile, "These warships go to your guild. Sell the cargo and split the money among the guilds that get raided a lot."

Origi froze on the spot.

He had never imagined a player could be this generous.

For a moment, he even worried this might be a test from George.

After thinking for a bit, he said hesitantly, "These things were yours to begin with. We have no right to take them!"

George waved it off. "If you really feel bad about it, just make sure to welcome me when I reach the north."

Hearing that, Origi finally believed George meant it. He nodded, excited. "We will! We will!"

After that, George tied up all the Azure League players and handed them over to Origi and the others to deal with.

Watching Origi and the others sail away, George happily took the map back to his room, paying no attention to Sophia in the distance.

Sophia bit her lip, as if she had made up her mind.

After George returned to his room, he was studying the map with interest when he suddenly noticed the door being pushed open.

He looked up and saw that the person who came in was Sophia.

Sophia wore a light, sheer dress, and her figure could be faintly seen.

"What is it? Did you come to see me about something?" George smiled and gestured for Sophia to sit.

Blushing, Sophia sat down and said in a low voice, "Thank you, George. If not for you, I might still not see the Azure League's true face."

She meant it. In the past, Sophia never thought the Azure League would rob other guilds' goods.

In her eyes, the Azure League was a righteous guild that dared to fight against the Peacekeeper Office NPCs.

But with George's help, she finally saw the guild's true face today.

George smiled, pulled Sophia into his arms, and said with a laugh, "So how do you plan to repay me?"

Sophia curled up like a startled fawn.

When she pushed the door open, she had already guessed this might be the outcome.

But when George said his intention so directly, Sophia still felt flustered.

Yet George didn't give her time to hesitate; he drew her close, and the distance between them vanished.

In a heartbeat, her fair skin was revealed.

Sophia's face turned red, and she whispered, "George, why are you acting like a rogue right now!"

Though she said that, she didn't push his hands away.

Under his touch, Sophia soon flushed even more.

George felt it too; the Divine and Demon Origin stirred a raw desire in him.

At last, George couldn't hold back. He laid Sophia on the bed, and they gave in to their passion.

Sophia held him tight, feeling his powerful force, and the pleasure in her heart grew stronger.

She hadn't expected her first time would happen in the game, and with someone who used to be her enemy.

In a blink, more than an hour had passed.

Lying in George's arms, Sophia said softly, "Captain, from now on I'm going to follow you."

"Don't worry. I promise you won't live worse than in the Azure League," George said with a smile, giving her a playful pat.

"Captain, you might have something to handle now!" Just then, Dorothy's slightly jealous voice sounded outside the door.

George paused; he hadn't expected Dorothy to be listening outside.

He got dressed at once. After soothing Sophia, he opened the door and pulled Dorothy into his arms.

"Captain, you should go deal with the matter," Dorothy said, pushing George away a bit, her tone carrying a trace of complaint.

George gave an awkward smile and asked, "What is it?"

Dorothy rolled her eyes and said crossly, "We're almost at the Arctic. Louise is asking which route you want to take!"

George nodded, picked up the map, and went to the captain's cabin.

In the captain's cabin, Louise sat idly in a chair. When she saw George come in, a wicked smile appeared. "Little George, want a taste of my milk?"

Facing Louise's tease, George—who had just finished making love—stayed calm and said evenly, "Aren't we here to set the route?"

Louise rolled her eyes at him, then pointed ahead. "Which way do we go?"

George took out the map and began to confirm their bearings.

He had three choices before him now. One was an exploration site in the Arctic.

A party of players had gone there once, but they all vanished, leaving only a campsite behind.

Another direction was where two top divine-and-demon fighters once dueled, but that was long ago.

The last place was said to be where many players had seen an Ice Troll, though no one knew if it was true.

George thought for a moment and said in a deep voice, "We'll go where the Ice Troll was seen!"

Louise nodded in agreement.

The first route was too dangerous; too many players had vanished there.

The second might hold treasure, but it was far too old.

By comparison, the Ice Troll site might be more worth exploring.

The Dragon Bone ship sped over the sea and soon reached the area near the Snowfield.

The four of them disembarked together and began to explore the Snowfield.

It was an endless Snowfield here, with almost nothing else in sight.

After walking for only a short while, Louise got bored and rode her broom to explore on her own.

Faced with Louise's headstrong move, George and the others couldn't say much.

After all, Louise was an NPC—and a powerful one.

She could handle most dangers by herself.

When Louise had played enough, she would naturally come back to find George.

The three kept walking on the Snowfield and soon found some unusual footprints.

"George, come look!" Sophia pointed at a print, her face a bit grave.

George stepped forward and saw the print was huge, almost like his footprints after turning into a demon.

"You mean there might be a demon here?" George frowned, his tone a little serious.

A demon that could survive on the Battlefield of Gods and Demons ruins was likely hard to deal with.

Just then, Dorothy noticed something too and pointed into the distance. "George, look—is that an Ice Troll?"

George turned his head and saw that, in the distance, a nearly three-meter-tall Ice Troll covered in white fur was watching them.

"Trying to scare us," George gave a cold laugh, not afraid at all.

He took out the Dark Crystal, triggered its power, and in a flash appeared beside the Ice Troll.

Before the Ice Troll could react, he kicked it to the ground.

After being kicked down, the Ice Troll started struggling hard and let out a defiant roar.

"There really is an Ice Troll here—is it an NPC?" Dorothy and Sophia came over together, both a little excited.

If it was an NPC, that meant they might unlock a hidden quest.

But George shook his head, grabbed the Ice Troll by the scalp, and pulled hard.

With a pop, the Ice Troll's mask was torn off, revealing a man's face!
