Blanche’s POV
The argument between Vincent and Demetrius just kept getting worse, and I found myself stuck between them, completely helpless.
My face burned with embarrassment as I yelled at Vincent, “Vincent, cut it out!”
My outburst made Vincent go quiet immediately. He stared down at me, his eyes blazing with fury and hurt. “Why are you only yelling at me? What about him?”
Vincent lifted his arm, jabbing his finger toward Demetrius.
I smacked his hand down, my expression stone-cold as I said, “Tonight was supposed to be a simple dinner with Demetrius, Patty, and me. We just wanted a peaceful evening, so please, Mr. Aarav, don’t cause trouble.”
My words drew a clear boundary between Vincent and the rest of us.
Vincent stood alone on one side, while we were together on the other.
After hearing what I said, Vincent seemed to know what I was going to say next, but he didn’t want to listen. He snapped back, “Forget it, alright? I don’t want to hear this. Fine, I’m leaving.”
