Angela and Addison got up and activated their powers...or at least they tried to. When they thrusted their arm forward, nothing came out.
"Oh, no."
"This is gonna be bad."
Jin noticed it too late when his power kit didn't activate. "Heh, a fucking power dampener. Isn't that ironic?"
"And a technology disabler." The woman laughed hard upon seeing the faces of the three teens in front of her.
"What made you figure out that I was an...imposter?" Jin asked, removing his face mask.
"At first, I didn't. I was simply curious about you. However, when you kept talking, I realized that you were just saying bullshit."
"Well, saying bullshit is my specialty."
The woman clapped her hands, the door flung open, and more guards piled into the room. "You see, my girls here are ready to take your lives, but I can't have the daughters of two important people dying on my watch, especially when your mother, Addison, is a member here."
Addison scoffed.
"And you, Jin Telegard," The woman licked her lips. "I really wanna make you my bitch."
Jin sighed. He wasn't expecting to use his power right now, but it was necessary. Since this was a miscalculation on his end, he would correct his mistake, and no one in this room would make it out alive.
"Unfortunately, I'll have to pass on that." His hair started glowing purple alongside his eyes. While they couldn't see it, purple and black dragon tattoos crept up his arms, chest, and hands.
Then, his energy exploded from his body, causing everyone to turn their heads from the force Jin's power generated.
"J-Jin! How in the world—" Addison was speechless. She didn't understand how he had power; none of them did. Even the boss woman was startled.
"Haha! Jin's using his power! Oh, man! You all are so fucking dead." Angela, who knew of his power already, knew what he could do and was always excited to see him in action.
"Y-You have powers?!" The woman asked. "H-How?"
"I'm just blessed." Purple crystal scales grew on his arm, and he fired them into the hearts of everyone in the room.
Some managed to snap out of their trance and dodge, but most were killed instantly. Jin hopped over the couch, kicking a guard in the face with his foot, which was covered in sharp crystal scales, piercing her skill.
"C-Crazy bastard!" The other guard shot lasers out of her eyes, but they hit an invisible barrier around Jin, and the beams were unable to move any closer.
"Here, you can have these beams back." Jin tapped the heat vision, causing them to move back into her eyes, burning her face to a crisp.
"K-Kill him!" The boss ordered.
The rest of the guards charged at Jin, each of them wielding a different power, but just as quickly as they attacked him, they all died.
A swirling purple energy wrapped around their bodies, crushing them to death.
"Now that they're out of the way," Jin also killed her little boy's toys, then placed a barrier around the room. "Why don't we have a serious chat?"
He took a seat and crossed his legs, looking professional and serious. Angela and Addison took a seat as well.
"W-What do you want?" The woman was clearly scared. The reason why her guards were able to use their powers was that they had a device that bypassed the frequency that prevented tech and powers from working.
Still, even with her powers, she wasn't confident she could take on Jin, so she complied.
"What's the name of your organization?" Jin started off strong.
"T-The Sons of Adam."
'The Sons of Adam? I have to look into them. Fire name as well.'
"What is their connection to the Brotherhood gang?"
"The gang is a front, a-a way for us to move freely in public."
Addison frowned. "That's stupid. Why become a gang when you could just become a corporation?"
"What are the Aegis Corps or the Military doing to these gangs?" The boss woman asked back.
Addison knew the answer. It was nothing. The largest gangs in the world could rival the Aegis Corps or the military. Big gangs, while not as powerful as large gangs, were still strong enough not to be taken out. The Brotherhood fits that category.
"B-Besides, that's just one of our branches. We have more than just a gang."
Jin quinted. "What are they?"
"I-I don't know."
Jin clenched his fist, and the woman started floating in the air, her throat being choked by an invisible energy.
"Arghh! I-I'm not lying! P-Please! W-We aren't t-told everything. I-I just know that we're everywhere. L-Like the guy you found in Bellmire corporations!"
Jin let her go. "Explain."
She coughed violently before speaking. "W-We have people everywhere. In corporations, the police, the military, and even the Aegis Corps."
Angela and Addison couldn't believe what they were hearing. They knew what their plan was, thanks to Jin, so knowing that the Sons of Adam were everywhere made them slightly worried.
"Okay. For my last question. Where is your headquarters?"
The woman didn't answer. She just stared at Jin, then blood started pouring down her mouth.
"D-Did she just kill herself?" Angela asked.
Jin quickly rushed over to her to see if she had a poison pill in her mouth, but that wasn't the case, nor did she bite off her tongue. He scanned her body, and what he found shocked him.
"Her internal organs have been fried! Hold on, there's some device in her belly." He scanned to understand what it was, and when he did, he quickly tossed her body to the side, grabbing Addison and Angela and wrapping them in a thick barrier of mana as the device inside the woman's body exploded.
Dust filled the air, and debris was all over the place. The explosion wasn't large enough to destroy the entire casino, but it did completely level the section they were in, killing anyone who was unfortunate enough to be there.
Thankfully, Jin was able to protect both girls without any injury.
"Fuck."
