"You two okay?" Jin asked, helping them both up.
"Y-Yeah. Thanks." Addison was a little shocked, but she came to quickly.
Angela wasn't really that fazed and simply checked to see if her powers were working, which they were.
"Fucking bitch! She really killed herself to kill us?!" Angela was furious and would have killed that woman if she hadn't died.
"Addison, break the ground beneath us." Jin felt his mana undeneath the ground and wanted to see what they could find.
Addison did as he said, breaking the ground and dropping to a lower level. Unfortunately, when they took a look around, there was nothing in sight except for a large warehouse.
"Tsk, they're more through than I thought." Jin jumped back up to the surface and headed to the car.
"Jin?" Addison called for him.
"What?"
"D-Do you have powers?" She made sure to ask when they made it to the car so no one could hear their conversation.
"Do you want the short answer or the long answer?" He asked, starting up the car to drive.
"Both?"
"Short answer, yes, I have powers. Long answer, no, not really. You know what dark matter is?" He asked
"Yeah."
"Know what mana is?"
"The fantasy energy?"
"Yup, that one. Well, dark matter and mana are the same thing. Just different names. I'm able to harness the power of dark matter to enhance my body and even manipulate the forces of nature and more."
Addison didn't even know that was possible. "How?"
"I was born in a patriarchal world and was then taken by two supreme beings who then had me reincarnate into many worlds that taught me how to use this energy then I wanted to retire and they wouldn't let me so I ran away through a portal but they caught me so I hade to sever my soul from by body and I ended up reincarnating into this world while keeping my memories but losing all my powers so I had to work for them again." He said that all in one go.
"If you don't want to tell me, then that's fine. You already told me more than what I assume you're comfortable with. But how does Angela know?" Addison asked
"I caught him playing with magic one day and forced him to spill the beans!"
"No, you didn't. She did catch me, but since she trusted me and I trusted her, I decided to tell her about my abilities."
"Wow." Addison took a minute to digest what she learned. "Do Brittany and Mrs Anyssa know?"
"Nope. I wanted to keep this a secret from everyone, but situations didn't allow for it."
"I see. Well, I'll just let this matter rest, and I promise not to tell anyone."
Jin smiled. "Thanks."

The next day, Jin returned to the police station with a recording for them to hear. It was his conversation with the boss lady after infiltrating the casino, editing out the parts that were confidential, and handing the file over to them.
After listening to it, Karen knew that they needed to hand this matter over to the Military and Aegis Corps while also putting the Police station on high alert since they could be compromised as well.
"Do you think that they are only on Olympus, or the surface as well?" Karen asked Jin
"Dunno. I would assume they would be on the surface since the Brotherhood Gang operates there as well. Now, as for the Sons of Adam, I have no clue. They're like ghosts with the information we have right now, and I'm certain that they are making sure that none of their organization's branches can be traced back to them."
Karen agreed with him. This was a sensitive matter, one that could determine the fate of not only Olympus, but their entire country. Thankfully, this was a domestic threat, not an international one.
Still, if they aren't able to stop this cult, then it could turn into an international one.
"Thank you, Jin. We'll need to be all hands on deck, and I'm afraid that this is where your extracurricular activities will have to come to an end. We cannot allow students to be caught in this situation. It's too dangerous."
Jin understood, and honestly, he was happy. This meant that he would be going back to the institute where he could train and study all he wanted.
"I understand. It was a pleasure working with you." He held out his hand to shake,
Karen smiled. "It was a pleasure working with you as well."
"Noooooo! I'll miss you! Jin! Give me a hug!" Yuria hugged Jin and lifted him up in the air.
"Haha, I'll miss you too."
"Here, let me have your number. You can contact me whenever you want!" She stole Jin's phone and hovered it over her own. Their contacts instantly swapped, and they now had each other's numbers.
"Sure, I don't mind keeping in touch."
'She's hot anyway. Maybe I'll get to tap that ass.' Jin smiled
"See you guys." He left the station.

Karen breathed a sigh of relief as she walked inside her house, closing the door behind her. It was a long day, and she was tired.
She put her things down, took a shower, and then headed to the kitchen to get something to eat.
"Long day?" An altered voice asked from the kitchen island.
Karen's hands started vibrating as she turned around to see who was there. Sitting on a chair at her kitchen island was the masked man who met with Jin earlier today.
Karen gulped hard, then got on one knee. "Sir Speaker. What brings you to my home?"
"Jin. A fascinating man, isn't he?"
"Yes. He is very talented, but he is also very smart, too smart."
"Indeed. His intelligence is what made me have to blow up, Karlaleena, at the casino today."
Karen nodded. "She gave him too much information."
The Speaker nodded. "Keep watching Jin, stay in his good graces, and tell me if anything arises. We will continue to reach out to him to see if he will come to his senses and notice that our work is for the betterment of this world's future."
"I understand. B-But if I may ask, what if he doesn't side with us no matter what?"
The Speaker remained silent, but underneath the mask, he frowned. "Then he will die. Activate phase two of the plan. It's time to start making power plays."
"Yes, Sir Speaker."
