Fear gripped at his heart like a tight cage. Ethan was scared and it was visible, his phone constantly slipping off his hands, sweat dripped down his back wetting his shirt. He was still walking down the long, unwavering passage as though it was never ending. The meanders of the passages seemed to be longer, until at the end he was met with a shimmering orange light, he heard a voice.
No two.
He heard Payne speak, softly he could hear the hurt in his voice.
"Amanda I asked you who is the father of the baby you carrying"
Amanda replied hastily though she stumbled on mome words she managed to answer.
"What do you mean you don't kn..know who the...uhm...father of th...the baby is?"
Her voice was firm but one could clearly hear she was hiding something.
"Amanda don't you dare...don't you dare even think for once you'd make me a fool!"
Payne shouted as he stood up, fists balled at his sidez eyes bulging out, veins breathing as though they carried their own essence of life.
Ethan stood at the end of the passage,listening in,the door seemed to invite him yet something told him that there was more to Payne's words.
Amanda shook,nearly pissing her pants as she flinched at the thought of Payne getting close to her. She saw him ravage through the animals like some kind of sick psychopath, she saw the smile on his face as he looked at her cowering away. She saw how much he enjoyed to see someone suffer it was reasonable to be scared.
However instead of being scared she stood tall, the shivering almost gone, but subtle.
She cleared her throat as she was about to speak.
"The child is yours Payne,his yours!"
The world froze,outside Ethan froze.
His minded spiralled endlessly.
'How...how is the baby Payne's?'
The pain and confusion was evident on his face.
Inside Payne smirked, his anger melting instantly like sugar being washed away by rain. The tension in his muscles was no longer there. The baby was his and what mattered the most now was treating his soon wife to be in the best way possible. She was carrying his child and he felt as though she deserved to be treated like a queen. The personality change scared Amanda yet she still stood firm,not showing any ounce of fear, she didn't want to be weak she had to be strong. Strong for her baby and strong for Tina.
She didn't know where Tina was but she was hoping she had survived,or atleast tried to eccape and earn Ethan about Payne.
Just as she was about to ask about Tina someone knocked at the door.
'Tina?' Amanda thought praying that her prayers of Tina finding help were met,but:
Why would Tina knock if she found help?
Wouldn't she barge in with the police?
Why didn't she hear police sirens?
Something felt wrong and Amanda felt it. Payne on the other side stiffened. He walked away from the room to open the door.
'Who could that be?'he thought,his mind searching for answers,he had killed Tina and he made sure of that meaning it could only be one person.
"Ethan! ,he...hey!" Payne exclaimed forcing a smile on his face but Ethan didn't smile.
He insteaded lunged at Payne's throat letting out a loud battle cry. Amanda heard the commotions and immediately rushed out the room to check and before her she saw quite the sight. Two brothers at each other's throat's looking like two squirrels fighting over a chestnut. It was not time to think of such so she tried to stop the fight.
