It didn't take long for Ethan to find the shed.
His thoughts about it were similar to Payne's.
Tiny place, secluded and it didn't look inhabited. However those thoughts vanished when he opened the door.
He was met with a dangerous stench that engulfed his lungs.
Ethan coughed, the stench barely breathing.
The sight before him was horrifying, dead animals everywhere blood painted the walls red. Whatever he ate that day came right back up.
The shed was like any other shed from the outside but inside it was huge.
Ethan's thoughts were everywhere but what he worried mostly about was his brother, Payne.
If this was what he saw before him now where was his brother, who did such treacherous acts and who was the woman Payne had followed.
Ethan mastered the courage to proceed into the maze house and just like that he had become part of the maze mystery.
....
Payne was still in shock .
'What?, Amanda you better wake up and explain fast'.
Payne's mind spiralled. If this was his child then he'd be delighted. That would mean he could keep living with Amanda in this forest.
However the thought of Ethan came up.
'How come he hasn't come to find me'
"Amanda..."
No answer.
"Amanda!!!!!", Payne shouted his voice reaching every corner of the maze mystery shed.
Amdnda jolted awake, panting still scared of the horrific sight of Payne's murderous face.
She was else where, she realised.
'One of the rooms in the maze shed?', she thought.
As she was about to get out she saw him.
Next to her, Payne sat as though he was staring into space. It was as though he had not just shouted her name out.
"You finally awake", he said turning to face her, smiled plastered on his face. The smile looked forceful as though it hurt to smile.
Amanda could see the anger in his eyes.
"Yes",Amanda said as she quickly got out of bed to stand on the other side. Payne didn't flinch, he didn't stop her.
He sat. What followed shocked Amanda to the core.
"Amanda...who..is.. the father of"
Sigh
"Amanda, who is the father of the child you carrying?"
Payne asked slowly as though he was carefully unboxing a fragile item. Amanda's body stiffened, ever cell of her body stopped functioning, the blood sucked dry instantly becoming cold.
'Does he know?'
....
In another wing of the maze , Ethan had heard Payne's cry.
He had heard how he shouted for Amanda as though, he saw her infront of him.
His steps quickened.
He didn't care about his surroundings, Ethan followed his instincts, he followed Payne's voice.
It took a while for Payne's voice to die down,he knew that it tracked back to the very end of the maze.
As he hurried down the long passages, Ethan saw a horrific sight.
Tina.
Lying dead on the floor. The number of whole in her body were countless.
Fear gripped at his throat and he tried to stop the tears from streaming down.
'What happened here?'
Although the sight before him sent his knees buckling Ethan didn't plan of backing down, he had to find his wife and brother and fast.
He didn't know what awaited him and he didn't care his phone's flashlight guided him down the long passages. Time had flown, minutes went by,hours went by but still there was no sign of life. However Ethan's desire to see his wife won, taking over the fear that gripped at his heart.
