Noah coughed violently, his chest heaving as he tried to clear his throat after the sudden shock.
He quickly set his coffee cup back down onto the wooden table, his face turning an incredibly dark shade of crimson as he scrambled to find a believable excuse.
He looked at Naya with a desperate, evading expression, trying his absolute best to sound completely casual and natural.
"I absolutely wasn't doing anything out of the ordinary," Noah stammered, his voice lifting a bit too quickly as he spoke.
"As you know my heat had suddenly arrived, so I was simply confined to my room going through necessary medical treatments. Yes, that is exactly what happened. I was definitely just going through standard heat treatments for the past three days."
Naya burst out into a loud, incredibly amused laugh at his clumsy explanation.
She leaned forward against the table, raising one of her eyebrows high as she fixed him with a deeply teasing gaze.
