I have heard that Yuan is speaking to someone on the call and saying that he can't do it, he really can't. It makes me a little worried hearing him saying that. His tone on the call is not the usual one, it's different, it's really different, that terrifies me. Then I put another step closer to him to hear what he was exactly speaking and with whom or on which topic. Then I heard that, "I can't make her come to the event for the very next day when she shooted her first variety show. Please try to understand it, she is new in this industry, she really don't know much here. You don't know today was really hard for her, only she knows how she manages it, and now suddenly you are asking her to come to the event in place just by tomorrow, how could it be possible for her? Then his eyes went on me and he sees me there trying to listen to his conversation. Then he said on the call, "Please reconsider whatever I have said to you, I am hanging up." And the moment he ended his phone, he came towards me and stands right in front of me and looking at me while giving a serious expression of him. Then he said, "What?" while raising his one eyebrow.
And to try to lighten up his mood, I said that, "What what?"
He exhales sharply and said, "I am asking you what are you doing here and why are you not sitting inside the car?" he asked me like a teacher asks their students that why didn't you bring your maths assignment today, the same way in a teacher tone he asked me this.
I smiled and said, "I was just going to sit inside it."
But I think today he is really not in a mood to smile.
"I can see your so-called 'was going' just now," he said it to me.
"Stop being sarcastic, Yuan," I said it to him while folding my arms cross.
"You forced me to being the sarcastic one," he said it. Then there is a silence of almost one minute between us because we both didn't talk to each other as we both think that we both are right in our own way of seeing the things. But then after that silent pause of one minute between us, I break that pause cause this is too much longer than I expected. This one minute really feels like the whole years of my life and I don't want it like that. Even I am not liking this silence between us.
So I tiptoe a little to match his eye level but I really couldn't because of my height problem, I am barely able to reach there. Then I tried it again and tiptoe a little more than before, and then he starts looking somewhere else. This really makes me feel annoyed and I cup his face with both of my hands and said, "Look at me," in an ordering tone of mine.
And he finally did this time. Then I asked him, "Why you are not looking at me?"
Then he exhales sharply and said, "Because you were pouting," he said it, which makes me a little bit shocked as I couldn't able to believe on my own ears what I have just heard.
"Just because I was pouting you were not looking at me due to this reason?" I asked him.
He looks at me again and said, "Yes."
"Did pouting is a new crime just declared in China?" I asked him this.
"No, but you pouting like this makes you look even more cuter and can I let anyone to see you like this when you are that cute to be seen?" he replied me.
"So it means that Mr Xu Yuan is jealous, isn't it?" I asked him teasingly as I have just realised that so many days have passed away and I didn't tease you.
He said, "Do whatever you want to or like to do but please…" when he said this my Mr heart skips a beat as his voice becomes heavier now. Then he continues and said that, "Please don't ever let anyone look at you when you are that cute to be seen, as you know I don't like people to look at my girl."
"My girl…" the word alone holds so much emotions in it that I can't tell what I am feeling right now, but still holding back my own emotions, I tried again at him and said, "So you were jealous, you really were," I said it, "and if you were that jealous then why didn't you tell me?"
"Jealousy comes without invitation card, surely I'll give you that one too if I got that card," he said it while being a little sarcastic again towards me.
Then I exhales sharply and said, "Ok that's it, I lose," I said, "and losing to you was never a wrong thing to do."
"But tell me what you were really talking to them on phone call and who is on the other side of the phone call?" I asked him.
And then he said, "Director Li was there on the other side of the phone call."
"Director Li?" I repeated it again. "Why, I mean what did he say?" I asked him.
"What do you think, silly girl, that if we completed the shooting of the drama series then everything gets over?"
"No," I replied to him.
Then he continues and said, "After the completion of the drama series shooting we need to promote it well and grab people as our audience, and promoting it is our responsibility only," he said it.
"Ooo now I got it why every actors put so much effort in promoting their new drama series, so it's a part of actor's job to promote the show well and grab as much audience they can, so basically it's a part of actor's work too?" I asked him.
And he nodded his head and said, "Yes, sort of."
"Then what it's do with us and why did you stopping Director Li for going to the event tomorrow?" I asked him.
"Because it's back to back event," he said it.
"So what?" I asked him.
"So what you are asking, do you really don't know?" he asked me a little shockingly.
"I mean what problem in there?" I asked him.
"Our drama series is going to be released sooner than its exact date," he said it.
A smile appears on my face as it's our first show together which is going to be aired soon, and I really don't know how the audience will react on our CP, did they like us or not or they just reject us. These storms of questions go around my mind continuously. Then Yuan's voice said to me while breaking them all, "Again lost into your little world?" he asked.
Then I immediately shake my head and said, "No," and asked him that, "It's a good news Yuan that our show is going to be released sooner, then why are you making fuss over tomorrow's event?"
He exhales sharply and said, "Because I know you are already so tired because of today's variety show and for an individual like you, for whom these things are not so common, like going daily for promotions and events will become really hard to cope up, and I don't want you to make yourself rush over."
I smiled and said, "I am really glad Yuan that you are thinking this much deeply about me when even I didn't, but it's not rushing me over. Okay tell me, if I had a class test and need to complete the assignment of another subject on the other day, what do you think, did I able to do these both tasks?" I asked him.
"Silly question," he said and looks away.
"Ok fine, then give answer to my silly question," I said.
He exhales sharply and said, "Of course you'll be able to complete both the tasks," he replied.
"This is exactly what I want you to understand Yuan, that if I am capable enough to complete those both tasks then I am capable also to complete these tasks as well. There is only difference between, otherwise the task is a task whether it's meant to make assignments or to shoot a variety show," I said.
He smiles while looking at me with those eyes, yes those eyes which is enough for me to look into my whole world inside it, and said, "You are really good in making and playing with words."
"Yes of course I am, after all I am the girlfriend of a man who is good in everything so I also need to buck up myself for him so that I'll be able to deserve you," I said it very proudly while smiling.
He smiles and said, "You don't need to deserve me, silly girl, you just need to be with me at every single moment and single second of my life because Yuan breathing without Zhao Shiza is just like hundred year old tree still living when all its branches and leaves get fallen or ruined, just like a dead plant which shows to the world that yes I am still here but inside from it that plant is dead that no one can see."
It's quite heavy words that he said, but after listening to those words I didn't even say a word to him, not to even console him because sometimes not consoling someone becomes the biggest consoling to someone. And like this we shared our unsaid thoughts and fears about each other and growing stronger in our bond with each other.
And here like this the day has ended beautifully which lets me feel every emotions that ever exists in the whole world. But like this day ended, the other day has started where we need to go to the event to promote our drama series which is going to be aired sooner. But as this is the first time of me going for an event as main lead of the drama series, a little bit of nervousness and anxiety is really there inside my Mr heart.
But Zhao Shiza ignores it, I said it to myself. Just remember those three magical words and then everything will be fine, and if not then Yuan will always be there to catch me if I ever fall. So falling is not a big issue when I know you are there to hold me and catch me. So falling isn't scary anymore for me when I know you are there besides me.
Then I get down from the staircase of my dormitory and reached outside the gate of the dormitory waiting for him to arrive and pick me up. While waiting there almost ten minutes has been passed, he didn't come. Then I thought to call him and ask where he has reached, but the moment I take out my phone from my bag to call him, my phone rang in my hand only.
It's from him only as expected. Without wasting a second I pick it up and then he said, "Hello."
