climbed with every second it remained on the field. The longer it fought, the
faster it became.
Currently, under the influence of its layered speed boosts, Electivire's
velocity was no longer inferior to the Level 97 Lucario.
It blurred across the arena, its massive fist pulled back and crackling with
roiling thunder. The air around the fist vibrated with a sharp, lightning-fueled
hum.

Lucario let out a sharp cry. It spread its paws, and a glowing, white-hot staff
of energy materialized between them—a bone forged from Aura and focused will.
Spinning the staff like a professional martial artist, Lucario met Electivire's
charge.

The bone staff was infused with Lucario's Aura. As the Thunder Punch collided
with the glowing weapon, a wave of pale blue energy and golden electricity
exploded outward in a chaotic mess of sparks.

The two Pokémon traded blows in a high-speed blur. Lucario was a master of the
staff, wielding it with a terrifying fluid precision that parried every one of
Electivire's lightning strikes.

Kenji's eyes narrowed as he watched the exchange. He noticed that with every
collision, a small shockwave would erupt from the bone staff, rippling through
the air and pushing back against Electivire's momentum.
He looked closer and recognized the technique: Lucario was weaving Force Palm
into its Bone Rush.
Force Palm: A Fighting-type move that emits a shockwave from the palms, with a
high chance of paralyzing the target.
Kenji was secretly impressed. As expected of an Elite Four member, his Pokémon
weren't just strong; they were tactical masters.
By fusing Bone Rush with Force Palm and amplifying it with Aura, Mason had
transformed a low-power multi-strike move into a lethal offensive and defensive
tool.
Bone Rush's base power was a meager 25 per hit. But under these modifiers, its
effective power was reaching the tier of an ultimate move. This was why Lucario
could physically block Electivire's world-shaking punches.
Furthermore, by using the staff to parry, Lucario avoided direct physical
contact with Electivire's skin, preventing the Thunder Armor from triggering a
feedback paralysis.
Kenji frowned. Taking down this Lucario was proving to be more difficult than
he'd anticipated.

In the center of the arena, Lucario performed a sweeping strike. The shockwave

aside. Seizing the opening, Lucario spun the staff and drove the opposite end
directly into the beast's chest.

Intense white light flared as the Aura hit the Thunder Armor.
The power of a Level 97 Lucario was immense. Even the reinforced defense of the
armor groaned under the pressure, the surface nearly shattering.
While Lucario hadn't managed to pierce the defense yet, the energy required for
Electivire to repair the "dents" in its armor was draining its stamina rapidly.
The shockwave pushed Electivire back two steps. But as it skidded, its twin
tails snaked forward, aiming to bind Lucario's ankles.
Lucario anticipated the move. It performed a graceful leap, vaulting over the
black cables.
Mid-air, it executed a backflip to reset the distance and kicked out a Vacuum
Wave for good measure.
Electivire casually swatted the air blade aside with a backhand punch.
"AKA!!! —"
Lucario landed and pulled its hand back. A ball of swirling, pale blue energy
formed in its palm.
POP!!! —
It fired the orb with a palm strike.
Aura Sphere!!!
A move that channeled the user's very life force into a projectile that never
missed its mark.
"ELE-BZZZT!!! —"
Electivire countered by condensing a Electro Ball in its hand and hurling it at
the incoming sphere.
The power of Electro Ball scales with the speed difference between the user and
the target. At its current velocity, Electivire's ball hit like a tactical nuke.
On the other side, Electivire used Quick Attack to follow the projectile,
charging behind it.
But just as the two orbs were about to collide, the Aura Sphere performed a
sharp, mid-air maneuver. It veered to the left, banking around the Electro Ball
as if it were a sentient drone, and continued its path toward Electivire.
Kenji's eyes widened. This Lucario's control is insane. Unlike a standard homing
move like Swift, this Aura Sphere had the intelligence to evade obstacles.
Electivire sensed the projectile closing in from its flank. It prepared to pivot
and defend, but Lucario had already triggered Extreme Speed. It became a blue
blur, intercepting Electivire from the front before the beast could deal with
the rear threat.
Under the influence of Extreme Speed, Lucario matched Electivire's velocity
perfectly, forcing a direct melee confrontation while the Aura Sphere was still
closing in on Electivire's back.
"Electivire! Thunder Tail!"
"ELE-BZZZT!!!! —"
Pincered between two threats, Electivire didn't panic. Just before the Aura
Sphere could impact its rear, one of its black, cable-like tails whipped around.
High-voltage energy surged through the limb, turning it into a crackling whip of
thunder.
BANG!!!
The tail struck the Aura Sphere dead center, detonating the psychic bomb into a
cloud of harmless blue light.
In front, Lucario and Electivire clashed in another flurry of blows before
disengaging and resetting their positions.
At that exact moment, the Sunny Day faded. The artificial suns dimmed, and the
arena lighting returned to its normal, cool intensity.
For Mason Chu, this was a relief. The extra Fire-type pressure was finally gone.
Kenji watched the Lucario in the center of the field. It was still breathing
steady, its eyes full of an unyielding warrior's spirit. He realized that if he
let this match turn into a war of attrition, the result was a toss-up. Lucario's
level advantage was a wall that was hard to ignore.
"Electivire!! Use... THUNDER GOD'S ARENA!!!"
Kenji's gaze turned sharp as he issued the ultimate command.
"ELE-BZZZT!!!! —"
Electivire let out a roar of acknowledgment. It settled into a wide stance, its
aura expanding until it felt like a physical storm was brewing within the room.
It was ready to go all-in.
